The clearning service was amazing. We were travelling with our son and the room always becomes so messy within a heartbeat, but the house-keeping did such a great job! The receptionist Batuu (I don't know the spelling so just guessing) was also really attentive and really competent.

I would give Maria 20 out of 10 if I could. She greeted us on arrival with a cold beer (oh, so welcomed in this heat) and showed us the apartment, which was absolutely spotless - Maria puts me to shame with her cleanliness. The apartment was equipped with everything a tourist may need, including such rarities as sharp knives, ice cubes in the freezer and enough power points to charge our multiple devices + towels to last us for a month. The sheets were crisp, the bed comfy and we had air-conditioning AND the fans. To top all this, on our fourth (and last) night she invited us to dinner with her family. We felt pampered and cherished and will never forget our stay in Stari Grad with Maria and Karl.

Not for everyone. Don't go there if you like noise, night clubs, loud music and so, If you look for calm and silent place - it might be your golden target. We love that place - both from the sea side (as skipper) and land (as tourists). We will be there back again if only we can.

First trip to Croatia, and glad we chose Hvar Island. Stayed walking distance outside Stari Grad, picked location as quieter than Hvar town. In hind sight would stay first few days in Stari Grad and finish stay in Hvar town to be closer to port. Both Stari Grad and Hvar town have beautiful architecture and well worth a trip in the shoulder months

Looking nice, but strange that after 23h everything is sleepy....restaurants and caffes are closed after 23h, and shop is working till midnight. No fun at all in the evening, but nice beaches and pine trees around. Restaurants in general are disappointment, overprized, with low quality of food.

A wonderfully walkable and friendly place, with a rich history and vibrant atmosphere. At any given time there are small vessels moored from around the world, alongside the picturesque wharf lined with outdoor cafes and gelatories. Wandering through the historic centre at blue hour is a memory we will never forget.

Good location as a base.

Good location as a base. All the great beaches are closer to Stari grad. City of Hvar is definitely the nicest but cities like Jelsa, Vrboska and ofc Stari grad are having their own charm. Speaking of restaurants in Stari hrad, I would recommend Barba Luka. One of the greatest fish meals I had so far...and staff is excellent. Prices are higher but restaurant is also on higher level than others.

It's quiet but still full of action.

It's quiet but still full of action. A lot of restaurants with different dishes and different kind of music. Some even with live musicians. There is a great plaza in the city covered with micro-blazes that shoot tiny drops of water producing refreshing fog. Kids loved it. Big sidewalk along the sea allows for great night walks. The city beach is fairly nice, clean water and normally crowded. Great vacation for family with kids. Perhaps not so good for partygoers.

Hvar in spring is really beautiful. We wanted something low cost and this was definitely the best option. The host was very nice and helpful, always ready to answer our questions. Location is very close to the center, and in spring there are less tourists so you can enjoy this beautiful medieval town little bit more in its natural cloak. The house is really nice and the huge plus was the fact we were alone there :-))

We had a wonderful 10 day stay at Hvar Place. The property and gardens are very beautiful and so relaxing and is located 10 minute walk to Stari Grad which is so pretty and full of amazing restaurants. Tea and her dad were perfect hosts - so friendly and helpful and full of amazing suggestions (we followed them all)! We would definitely return.

Great facility, everything is new and functional, spotless clean, location is superb, 100m from supermarket, 200m from the old city centre. Also very comfortable for 4 adults and 3 kids (2 families). Baldo is a great host and if we decide to visit Hvar again, it will be our first pick!

The hotel was decent, nice, but could have been much better The location is amazing - a water taxi serving the hotel for trips into nearby beautiful stari grad The sea swimming from the hotel is as good as anywhere in the world - stunning , crystal clear water, beautiful surroundings
