Makarska Riviera is a beautiful destination.
Makarska Riviera is a beautiful destination. Croatian government removed the tool boot fee from the Saint Ilija tunnel and travelers can shorten their travel into the mountains and back significantly and save some money. You have different restaurants so you can pick what you like the most. It is easy to navigate around Tucepi and visit other spots. Sport activities are heavily affected by heat but you always have the swimming and other activities, like boating, parachute gliding and such. Tucepi is a pretty resort approximately 15 minutes' drive from Makarska. The beach is pebbly and the sea beautifully clear. We found one end to be quite windy and the sea choppy, whereas the area closer to the marina was more sheltered. We visited in late September when the season was obviously coming to an end as some bars and restaurants were closed. We also appreciated the dedicated parking as this can otherwise be a nightmare in Tucepi. We had a nice 2 nights and enjoyed ourselves very much (total 7/10), but expectations from the reviews on here as well as the pictures were not met. We met in Makarska so he could drive us to the village (narrow road but no problem even with a little car) The house has simple comfort but everything you need for 2 (adults).
