There are many opportunities for active recreation.

There are many opportunities for active recreation. Cycling (Kis Tisza-tó circle 60 km, flat, suitable for beginners), kayaking, canoeing. Motorboat rental. I also recommend walking around the Pákász educational trail. I recommend kayaking/canoeing on the lake, it is much more atmospheric than a roaring motor.

Those who like peace and quiet should stay in the city...

Those who like peace and quiet should stay in the city center, while others can stay right by the lake. There is a cycle path along the lake, which is almost never used. Lake Tisza is very interesting, not only for fishermen, but also for anyone who loves nature. It also offers attractions for families, not only in Tiszafüred, but also in the surrounding villages. The adjacent puszta and the Hortobágy National Park are also beautiful.

The goal was to go around the lake, and there was an excellent bike path for this. The entire area is great to explore by bike, but the traffic is also peaceful by car. There are a lot of bugs, so if you plan to cycle, it's worth bringing glasses and a scarf, otherwise you'll swallow the bugs.

The property is excellent, with a lake, garden, quiet. Outdoor and indoor pool. Sauna, massage options. Table tennis, darts, billiards, table football. The roads in Hungary are a bit bad and RADAR is pretty much everywhere, hidden in civilian cars, Skodas, some of which are put on side roads, behind trees and have a tripod with the radar on the road.

There is not much to do in the area during rainy weather.

There is not much to do in the area during rainy weather. We traveled with small children, we went to the Poroszló Ecocenter, which I think is a great option for children from the age of 3, with an indoor aquarium, outdoor playgrounds, mini golf, animals and a water adventure course. If the weather was nicer, there would be more interesting cultural opportunities to get closer to nature.

Tiszafüred is a bit stuck in the socialist times, but because of the Tisza coast and the water sports opportunities, it is recommended for those who like fishing, kayaking, canoeing. The beach in Tiszafüred is advertised as a free beach, while it is paid. Hortobágy is close, which is a positive, and Poroszló where the eco-visitor center offers a half-day relaxation.

Lovely place and dogfriendly (dogfee). We got upgraded to apartment/cabin, what had lot of space for large dogs and there was large green area nearby hotel where to walk dogs. Loved that our booking contained also breakfast and dinner. Wish they had more comfortable sofa downstairs where to sleep as it was very hot upstairs and we did not use those 2 bedrooms. Loved that apartment had kitchen and possibly to store food in fridge and cook your own meal also. Parking free and practically in front of the cabin for us. Private terrace.
