Stunning location set amongst rice padi fields and run by an amazing local women. My partner and I had the best curry and rendang of our Indonesian trip. The place is super peaceful and great to base yourself for the hike up to Rinjani or for day trips around the area. Even a quick 1 hr sunset stroll the rice padis was incredible. 💯 reccomend.

Staying at Rudy Trekker Guest House was the perfect start to my Rinjani adventure. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome and well cared for. The check-in was smooth, and they immediately helped me prepare for my trek with clear explanations, tips, and a genuine concern for my safety and comfort. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet — exactly what you need before taking on a challenging hike. The hot shower and air conditioning were a blessing, and the bed gave me a truly restful night’s sleep. Their restaurant serves delicious local food, and the pool with jungle views is a wonderful bonus to relax before or after trekking. What impressed me most, however, was the hospitality and thoughtfulness of the team. They made sure I had everything I needed, patiently answered all my questions, and checked that I felt confident and safe before starting the climb. I never felt like just another guest; I felt genuinely looked after. If you’re planning to trek Rinjani, I can’t recommend Rudy Trekker enough. Their warmth, professionalism, and care for both guests and the mountain make them stand out in every way.

I had such a lovely stay at Rumah Kawan House of Friends! The family who runs it is incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessities for a relaxing stay. It was the perfect home base for the Rinjani Trek. I highly recommend Rumah Kawan to anyone looking for a friendly, comfortable place to stay. It truly feels like a home away from home!

A very awesome homestay with a lovely family and amazing food. The room was clean and the bathroom was very nice. There were some ants but that was absolutely fine. Everyone in the family was welcoming and they even offer tours to the waterfalls and Mount Rinjani. I did not use these offers but it is nice to know. This place is a 10/10 and I recommend it 100%.

It was the best place that I stayed in Indonesia. The room is simple but really comfortable, and the views are amazing and beautiful. The place is also really clean!. Awan, Nip and Sukma (their kid) were amazing, Awan showed me around the rice fields for free, and told me about local farming and local traditions. Nip was so nice to me and all the guest, her food was from another world, great breakfast, dinner and lunch. Sam (staff member) was also incredible too, he helped me organize my trip to Rinjani, and made my stay really awesome. Please come here, you won’t regret it!!
