Absolutely beautiful in every aspect! Made and Putu met us at the entrance on arrival and carried our bags for us. They gave us the choice of 2 available rooms - one was so beautiful and overlooking the large pond and garden (very tempting) and the other slightly higher and with a view over the pool and a vista over the rice fields. We had to choose that one. The views were just idyllic. ROOM: Really large and just gorgeous! Traditional building but light and bright with loads of windows. Beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. Only cons were lack of power points and mosquitos in the night. We use our own electric plug in and there is a mosquito net but they still got in through the walls, doors and windows cracks. BATHROOM: Spotlessly clean! the cleanest we've found in Indonesia in more than 2 months. Con: the shower floor is very uncomfortable to stand on as it's pointy rocks and there is algae growing on it, understandably due to being outdoors and the style of flooring. POOL & GROUNDS: It is all just SO lovely, so well cared for, so well maintained, so well designed and thought through. We didn't use the pool but loved sitting on our covered veranda looking over it to the vista beyond and watching the ducks and geese busy in the rice fields in front of the pool. Views to the mountains in the distance. BREAKFAST & DINNER: Breakfast was excellent! The usual eggs/toast/fruit but well done and tasty. We also had dinner delivered from their restaurant which is a short drive away in the main road. Both meals were excellent.

This place in Bali it’s so beautiful , It's so Incredibly calm and quiet. It's just a paradise in nature. There is nothing around the villa where we lived that could disturb your peace. All around are only beautiful views of nature, the sounds of birds, and the murmur of a mountain river below. We are impressed by the dedication of the villa's owner, Juli, to her guests. A big thanks to her kitchen staff for the great food. Her housekeepers and groundskeepers also do a great job. There are no TVs, which is great because we didn't even miss them. TVs are simply unnecessary in a place like this. WiFi works great throughout the villa . Getting to Bali River Retreat from the port for a local transfer was no problem. I recommend this villa to anyone who wants to be surrounded by real nature.

I have been to Bali many times and this was definitely one of the top places I have stayed. The setting is amazing, beautiful garden, great seating area overlooking the small pool and river. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils you need to do your own cooking. A five minute walk takes you into Desa Tua where you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, tofu and tempe. There is also a mini mart with any other supplies you need. The bedroom/living area is very comfortable and the bathroom is big and clean. The owners have done all they can to make your stay comfortable - things like a small first aid kit, a speaker you can connect your phone to, scissors, a torch - they have thought of almost everything. Wayan is a friendly host and can organise a motorbike - there a few beautiful waterfalls in the area - and can help you with onward transport. The place offers a peacefulness that is getting harder and harder to fins in Bali.

Beautiful view of the jungle. I love waking up to the sounds and scents of the jungle. It is secluded and away from the hustle and bustle. The pool area was very nicely kept, and lounge chairs are covered every night. Everything is taken care of.

The villa is wonderful. We didn't even dream that it would be so great. There is an atmosphere inside that you won't find anywhere else! We are sure that You won't want to leave this place!!! The people working there are like family, wonderful, helpful and understanding🙏❤️ One time the owner who have the pitu villa he invite us to get the dinner in his house, he showed us around and told us interesting facts about this place and then brought us dinner. The place is free we just pay for food😉 You can also rent a scooter and go to the monkey forest and the waterfalls that are very close, and on the way there is warung with the best sate we ate in Bali. We highly recommend this place🥰👌👌👌
