I had a truly wonderful stay here! The place is beautiful, very peaceful, and perfectly designed for a comfortable stay. The room was spotless, with a super comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom with hot water. What really makes this place special are the owners – they are absolutely delightful, incredibly kind, and always ready to help with anything you need. They gave me great tips about things to do in Sidemen and made me feel so welcome. I had an amazing night here and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for both comfort and genuine hospitality.

Staying at Devani Resort Sidemen was a truly relaxing experience. Nestled among lush rice fields, the resort feels like a hidden sanctuary, far removed from the noise of everyday life. We arrived the day after their grand opening and were welcomed with genuine warmth by the incredibly kind and attentive staff. Our family bungalow had separate rooms, each with its own entrance, connected by a shared terrace. The view from the terrace was stunning—peaceful and beautifully serene. We spent two nights there, and even though it rained, the atmosphere remained magical, with mist rolling over the hills and the soothing sounds of nature all around us. The food was fresh and flavorful, and every meal felt thoughtfully prepared with care. One of the highlights of our stay was creating our own Balinese offering. We learned the meaning behind each petal and color, which made the experience even more special. We also recommend visiting their neighbor, Caturasa Silver Workshop—a wonderful activity we thoroughly enjoyed. On our departure day, we had to leave very early. When our driver didn’t show up as planned, the staff quickly stepped in and arranged transportation to Padang Bai, ensuring we didn’t miss our ferry. We highly recommend Devani Resort if you're looking for a place to reconnect with nature and find peace.

The view from the pool is excellent.

The view from the pool is excellent. The building construction needs improving with many examples of poor workmanship, chipped bath, misaligned electricals, tiles falling off. The layout would be great for three couples as all rooms are stand alone, but did not suit our family. The lounge is open air so mosquitos and bugs meant heavy use of DEET. You have to go outside into the rain to enter bedrooms, also not great. This property needs to be finished structurally, with an entire area upstairs not completed and construction equipment lying around.

Difficulty in securing a driver but once secured your dream location awaits. Walk, ride trek, pamper or simply sit and naval gaze. Recommended. Yoga options, organic vegetarian eateries, minimal traffic. Earrings all welcoming and delicious or opt for high brow dining if you must.

The villa with pool, very clean. Good friendly staff. They went above and beyond with everything. Nice & Peaceful. A bit far out from Ubud and other main areas, but worth the taxi rides. Definitely would stay here again.

The best restaurant in Indonesia is the Asri in this hotel.

The best restaurant in Indonesia is the Asri in this hotel. The food is outrageously good and quite inexpensive! The hotel is gorgeous with great views from every cottage. The service is amazing and the staff quickly learn your name and what you like/don't like. I was not bothered by insects at this hotel at all. Highly recommend for a splurge!

We only stayed a late afternoon and night while making our way to the North of Bali. There are a few tours that you can do, and I plan on coming back next year for 3 nights instead. It’s the perfect place to unplug and get away from buzz of city life whether it’s in the south or back home in a large city.

The staff was great, we had a late check in but the welcoming was still great. The hotel is very well located in Sidemen, a quite village, and you can see the river from you room. The room is spacious with a great bathroom, with a living room and even a kitchen with all the machines available. The breakfast is delivred to the room each morning, there's no lunch or dinner but you can deliver food from a partner restaurant and pay at the check out (food is okay, bot great). I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely guest house in Sidemen, with three well-presented ensuite rooms. The owner (Jack) is super helpful, and if you get the chance go on his day tour of rice paddies, local village life, a beautiful waterfall, and lunch at his sister's house. It's a short walk down the road to eat at local warungs or hotel/resort restaurants. Enjoyed my stay, this is the real Bali.

Gorgeous little spot in Sidemen, would highly recommend you include Sidemen in your Bali trip and if you do then stay here. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! The view from the pool is amazing. The little restaurants and warungs in walking distance to the hotel are ace too!
