We had an amazing stay at Villa Damai Rohani - the space was absolutely stunning and had everything we needed. The staff were extremely attentive and went above and beyond to help us arrange transport and activities during our stay. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the pool was an amazing bonus. The bungalow was new, clean and exactly as shown on the photos on the website. All staff were super friendly and attentive. The restaurant has amazing views over the rice terraces of sidemen. It is a short walk to the main street with various restaurants and warungs. Overall, the Devani resort definitely exceeded our expectations.

The best restaurant in Indonesia is the Asri in this hotel.

The best restaurant in Indonesia is the Asri in this hotel. The food is outrageously good and quite inexpensive! The hotel is gorgeous with great views from every cottage. The service is amazing and the staff quickly learn your name and what you like/don't like. I was not bothered by insects at this hotel at all. Highly recommend for a splurge!

We only stayed a late afternoon and night while making our way to the North of Bali. There are a few tours that you can do, and I plan on coming back next year for 3 nights instead. It’s the perfect place to unplug and get away from buzz of city life whether it’s in the south or back home in a large city.

I have been to Bali many times and tell people "it's not all traffic, crowds and beach clubs; you will find that Bali you want to find" For me, that is Sidemen, which feels like Ubud 50 years ago. So lush and beautiful. I did a silver jewellery workshop, and the rice terraces trek. I wanted to go white-water rafting, but I am over 64 years old and they had no insurance coverage for someone my age. On a previous visit, I combined a few days on Gilli Air with a few days in Sidemen as it is close to Padang Bai. It is a great location for exploring central and east coast Bali. Traffic is not too bad. The climate is a littler cooler than the coast which makes a nice respite.

Sidemen is a beautiful village, quiet and reminds you of how you imagine Bali used to be like. Having said that, it has some top eating places. Rice fields all around, silver classes, cooking classes, place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend.

Sidemen is paradise on earth and the hotel is a reflection of that! Incredibly beautiful views from the room, the room itself was very spacious and comfortable too. Sidemen is quite small in terms of restaurants etc but the location of this hotel is great! It’s next to Samanvaya where you can get a lovely coffee in the morning or go to their restaurant.

I totally recommend staying at Samanvaya if you are planning a trip to Sidemen. This is a very luxurious resort. The staff was very friendly and helped us to book activities near Sidemen. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is a bit expensive for Bali but worth it if you can afford it even for one night.

Located a bit outside main town, overlooking the countryside and near rice fields. Nice walk in the rice terraces can be done from near the hotel. Nice breakfast, nice host. The view is nice, but do not be suprised is somebody walks in front of your room, since there is a small path just in front of it.
