A real paradise on Sumba! Crystal clear water, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent service. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, especially at sunset. This hotel was amazing for us. The design is in local style, very natural and beautiful, so we felt the real spirit of Sumba. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was always tasty. The staff were kind and smiling all the time. Around the hotel there are wonderful trips. To small villages, to the beach, and into the nature. The sunset view in the evening was something we will never forget.

The best part of the stay was definitely the staff, Monica to be more precise. She made us feel so welcome. The sheets were clean and smelled well, warm water, beautiful sea views and goof air conditioning and the breakfast was great. We wanted to rent a bike and the staff in 20 min arranged us a great bike and also a driver to bring us to the airport. Thank you again Monica and the other girls for our amazing stay.

Fantastic experience, what a pleasure it was to be looked after by these amazing students. The fact that the resort teaches sustainability and permaculture just add so much to the overall experience and it makes so much sense. Sumba is in good hands if these students are the people who will be running hospitality and resorts in the future. Absolutly loved our stay here.

It's simply a gem in the middle of the nature, facing the ocean with a beautiful beach. They build some chairs made of tree branches overlooking the ocean, where you can sit and sip a cup of tea while watching the sunset... The rooms are so nice with the round shape and all the colors, and taking a shower with the morning sun rays (or while watching the stars) is another nice plus... And maybe they hide an Italian chef somewhere in the kitchen, because I had the best pasta of the last 5 months 😄 Can't recommend Oro Beach Houses enough and I hope that I can come back one day... Thank you so much for having created this magical place with so much soul and charm 🙏

I arrived very late due to heavy rain and was welcomed by this amazing community who helped me with so many personal things such as organisation of my trip, Oan was so kind to drive me to pick-up my luggage at another place, they called a nurse to treat my foot that was injured a little bit from a hike. It is a lovely community with a very interesting museum of Sumba's history and culture on the campus.
