Marion & Sinead were exceptional hosts; both so friendly and knowledgeable on the local town and surroundings. Breakfast was superb with fresh brown bread! Room and bed were so clean and comfortable, with beautiful views of the nearby mountain landscape. Overall, a fabulous visit! I would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We had lovely stay at Hillhead House🥰 Definitely that was our best stay and we loved Donegal and Ardara so much that we will come back for sure!😊 And those amazing breakfasts by Irene…🤤😍 Special porriges with lots of fruit, cinammon, coffee, orange juice and love by Irene. And homemade Irish bread! I can’t stop thinking about those breakfasts and beautiful memories we have🥰 We felt so welcomed🥰 Thank you so much!❤️

This was a really great stay while in Donegal! We were lucky to find this apartment. The views of the sea are just amazing and the breakfast in the morning was delicious, which we didn't expect to get so that was a nice touch! It was a pleasure to stay in such a lovely place and would recommend to anyone who wants to feel like home while away! Beside that, the whole house is very clean and beds are comfortable.

The little white house on the green green grass is actually my dream house. I felt like my dream came when I checked in for a one night stay at the beautiful house. The house is very clean and neat, the view from the room is very nice. The breakfast was nice. The owner Helen and her husband are nice, friendly and helpful. Thanks Gerrald for giving us a hand on the flat tyre.

Catherine and her family where so friendly and welcoming,the cottage was very homely and comfortable . cottage was within walking distance to town.Had car troubles on way home and Catherine and her dad went out of their way to help us, excellent hosts.would definitely recommend and will be back again 10/10.

    We heard Ardara was a good base to travel around Donegal.

    We heard Ardara was a good base to travel around Donegal. Our first night we went to the local pub and ended up staying longer than planned. Live music and got chatting to some lovely local people. It’s a fairly small town. We self-catered so can’t comment on places to eat.

    A lovely and lively small town, with friendly people and plenty of festivals happening, as well as fantastic walks and hikes in the lowlands and foothills around, or the Blue stack mountains a short drive away. Recommend the Corner House or the Beehive Bar for live music, and recommend the cafe in the Heritage Centre for brunch, lunch and snacks.

    Not a lot for children if the weather isnt great, however local beaches are stunning and if you get the weather its one of the most beautiful costal areas I have ever seen. Difficult to eat out, not a lot around but I recommend Nancy's, lovely seafood and the cutest little dining areas to eat in and they cater wonderfully to bigger parties

    The Assaranca waterfall is worth a visit and we regret not...

    The Assaranca waterfall is worth a visit and we regret not travelling to the Maghera Beach. In general there is some beautiful scenery around Ardara. The Corby Pantry beside the Atlantic Lodge had excellent food.

    Lovely town with good selection of tweed and local craft shops.I came to see the tweed centre and the tweed looms.Very walkable town and lovely food available.I used the local bus to get to Donegal town which was easy.I ate at Nancys a local pub in Ardara and had a wonderful meal the chocolate and Guinness cake was amazing! I came by bus from Letterkenny on a Sunday which is not a day I would travel by bus again as some buses do not go on a Sunday.Otherwise it was very easy and cheap to go around by bus and got to see great scenery and chat to local people all who were very helpful.

    Stunning town with lots to do and see.

    Stunning town with lots to do and see. We were very lucky with exceptional weather when we visiting but its such a beautiful place its worth the visit regardless. The only downside was the only supermarket in town was very expensive.

    The location was perfect and very close the town of Ardara. The apartment was bigger than expected with everything you need. The WiFi was excellent and fast. The bed was very comfy and the room was very quiet and I had a great sleep. I only met John who was friendly and his wife had left us some milk and fantastic tasty scones which was lovely. Definitely stay there again 😀

    An Charraig Ban was convenient to Ardara for an evening meal. I'd recommend a visit to Assaranca Waterfall and a drive through the nearby Glengesh Pass (towards Ardara from Glencolumbkille direction). The host was very accommodating, the room was clean and well-equipped, and the continental breakfast was great. I'd happily return if travelling in that area again.

    Ideal location in a quiet village of Ardara. Lots of local knowledge and recommendations of places to eat and visit around the area. Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed. Between us, we had a full Irish breakfast and porridge with fruit, which was a delight!

    It was a great place, close to Ardara. Anne was a super friendly host, she gave us recommendations for pubs and places to see in Ardara, rooms were clean. We were there for a short visit but definitely considering a longer stay for the next Bank Holiday!

    Nice cozy apartment in the middle of Ardara with all mod cons. Good place to explore Ardara, Glenties, Glen Colmcille, Sliabh Liag etc. We had a nice meal around the corner in Mickalenes and then a drink across the road at the Beehive pub.
