The Avalon is my first choice of hotel when visiting my family in Kilkenny. The rooms are really comfortable and tastefully decorated, the inclusion of a coffee machine is very welcome. The hotel has a very homely atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, so kind and friendly. I would really recommend breakfast, a good selection of local produce really well cooked and served. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms were incredibly comfortable. Very rarely do I find hotel rooms quiet enough and at a good temperature to sleep. The beds were so cosy, quiet rooms considering city centre location and very spacious. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Definitely recommend
