The location is perfect if you want to enjoy the countryside and the beautiful landscape with the overview of the shannon estuary, and we have loved metting authentic and really nice persons in this glamping. We ´d like to highlight the special devotion from the owners Frank and Tiago , which were always available to make us confortable and happy.     It was quiet. No restaurant was a drawback. We went into Tarbert on recommendation of proprietor but The Swanky in Tarbert was nothing to write home about. The Knight's Walk nearby was worth doing.

    Geoghegans was such a fun place to stay. My room was over the bar, so it was a bit loud but I enjoyed the merriment of the bar customers and staff. The room was small but cozy. The staff were wonderful and the morning breakfast was great. The owners were so helpful and had wonderful recommendations on places to visit around and near Glin. There's a small museum with information on the Knights of Glin and Glin Castle. During my stay, I took a bus to Ballybunion Beach for lunch and a nice walk on the beach and along the cliffs.

    Good clean room opposite the bar. Room was spacious and Glin itself was very nice. Not sure if it is where you would take a romantic break but I would stop there again. Breakfast was continental style which after all the full Irish breakfasts I have eaten was a nice change. Staff were all very helpful.

    We chose to stay over a pub for 2 nights to experience local ambience. It was wonderful the host shared stories of the town of glin. The pub has been in the family for five generations. The patrons were awesome friendly . We saw our first hurling competition and singing and laughter throughout!

    Thankful for the gracious hospitality, history lesson(s) and for accommodating our special circumstance (elderly dog) during Glin Castle Open Day. We also appreciated the private sitting room and close proximity to the river. Killarney is little more than an hour away.
