We loved everything about Romantic Hideaway,the peace and quiet was exceptional, and the garden is fabulous, looking out from our apartment window you could imagine you were out foreign in a hot country,hence the perfect name for this Airbnb,and Hanns and Elena were perfect hosts,so friendly and welcoming,the area is wonderful,such scenery and beautiful beaches,loads to see and do,we didn't have enough time to see everything so will certainly be back, Mizzen Head is definitely a must see,but on a clear day for sure and Clonakilty visitors center is also a very interesting visit so informative and there's a viewing area so you can see how everything is made,you might even get a wave or two from the employees enjoying their work., and you get to taste the wonderful Clonakilty products at the end of the tour. We went to Crookhaven where you can find lovely little restaurants all situated together,and I would recommend the fish chowder in the Welcome Inn restaurant the flavor and taste of fresh fish in the soup was unforgettable and the staff were so friendly it makes the experience more enjoyable.

Excellent stay just outside Glengarriff. We booked the family room which is actually two rooms, one room with a double and one room with two singles, perfect for families. There is also a TV, kettle, fridge and microwave in the room. Very spacious and comfortable. Great choices for breakfast, we had the veggie breakfast, scrambled eggs and pancakes - all excellent. Super friendly hosts, Mary and Chris are kind and happy to provide lots of information about the local area. Overall, an excellent place to stay when visiting Glengarriff.

Kilcrohane is a tiny hamlet that is close-by to Sheep’s Head...

Kilcrohane is a tiny hamlet that is close-by to Sheep’s Head and Mizen Head. We did visit Mizen Head.before going to our B&B. The road to MizenHead is among the worst we’ve encountered in Ireland, and that is saying something. However, the view, the experience, and the Mizen Head Center was worth the ardor. The next day we needed to move on so we didn’t want to begin with another trying journey to Sheep’s Head, but a fellow traveler said that it was spectacular with a lighthouse central to the experience.

We had a nice stay in Kilcrohane. The rooms were cozy and the bathroom was spacious! The hosts let us know ahead of time that the restaurants/bars around would close early and only take cash so we were well prepared. We also had a nice breakfast.

Great location, on the road to Sheep's Head. Very quiet, clean room, excellent restaurant, very good breakfast. Staff is super friendly. Kilcrohane village is very small but there is a nice pub at 2 mins walk from the B&B.
