The location was amazing! The views from the lodge were breathtaking, and it was close to main attractions of the island. The best thing about our stay was our host Brenda, she really made us feel welcome and taken care of in the lodge! Such a sweet and kind spirit. The comforts in the lodge were amazing, we had the best sleep in there.

Tigh Fitz Apartments - Inis Mór, Aran Island

Inis Mor (Near Kilronan)

We loved everything about our stay in Tigh Fitz. The rooms were spotless and comfortable with everything we could possibly need. The girls who served breakfast and cleaned the rooms were very friendly, helpful and efficient. But the most wonderful thing about our stay was Penny, the proprietor. She is the kindest, warmest, most helpful woman who went above and beyond to make our stay such an enjoyable one. She organised tours and lifts and even picked us up herself from the ferry port and pub. She gave us such good advice on what to do and see in Inis Mor. We were very, very sorry to say goodbye to Penny when we left the island.

Such a beautiful island.

Such a beautiful island. Peace, nature, wildlife, beautiful hand knitted aran jumpers in the shops, good food and friendly local people. There are horses and carts that will take you round the island. What a way to travel! Loved my time there.

Cute little town - convenient to the ferry. Lovely scenery.

Cute little town - convenient to the ferry. Lovely scenery. Great if you hike or bike(unless it’s raining, which it was for us). Pub food is about the only option, it’s a little elevated at the Hotel. We took the hop on bus, only two stops, not a tour - the driver didn’t say much. We had to walk a little further to make it easy on the driver, not a great customer experience. Two days is plenty.

Outside the town is more interesting than inside.

Outside the town is more interesting than inside. But avoid the minibus tours. Our driver, John, spent five frickin' hours driving around trying to find more passengers, during which time he showed us only two of the sights. He also spent some of the time essentially providing a taxi service, and treated his taxi customers with much more consideration than his tour passengers. It was a waste of our money and a much bigger waste of our limited time on the island.

We highly highly recommend Aran Bike Hire - they couldn't have been nicer kitting us out with bikes. Then, when we had a non bike related wrist break, Michael & team came to our rescue - driving the patient to meet the on-call doc; then to our accommodation to wait for the ferry & then directly to the ferry with an ambulance to meet us in Rossaveal. We really appreciated the Aran islanders' care and warmth - we felt treated as family. It came as no surprise to us to hear from AnnMarie that the islanders sponsor the annual visit of the Little Blue Heroes Foundation charity for ill children and their families.

A great experience of the old Irish way full of culture and the traditional way of life. Joe wattys and the Bar are great for a meal and a drink with lots of options I'm getting around the island with bus/pony tours and electric bikes to offer.

Had a wonderful adventure on Inishmore. While small, the people were warm and welcoming. Climbing Dum Aengus was one of the best things we’ve ever done- though not easy - worth it! The food at The Bar was very good and the owner very lovely. Found food all over Ireland to be vastly better than previous trips. Enjoy - life is short- play hard🙃

Kevin was very welcoming, took the time to chat with us and gave great recommendations, advice and had a great knowledge about the island. We absolutely loved the breakfast each morning - a more than adequate spread for all staying and with some lovely home baked goods; breads, banana muffins and scones. The location was only a 5min cycle from Kilronan and gave us great access to the west side of the island for Dun Aonghasa, Poll na bPeist, the seal colony, the black fort etc.

A remote island location that caters well for guests. The island is a step back in time and the hotel blends old world charm with suitably modern conveniences. Staff/owners were polite and knowledgeable about the island and its history so a great opportunity to understand this island community The location is very diffiernet after the day tourists leave and this makes it unique.

The place it’s cosy and nice. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Located near a pub and very close to Kilronan. The owner was kind enough to do us the favor of preparing the breakfast before 8:30 am because we had to leave early to get the ferry back to the mainland. Absolutely recommended.
