The bed was the most comfortable I had stayed in for my two months of travel. It was a 10 minute drive to the airport. Staff were great and organised the taxi for me, asked when I checked in, which was fabulous as I probably would have forgot to organise it. Great shower as well, again the best of my trip, such a shame I was only in this hotel for half a night as I had an early flight. Recommend if you do have an early flight.

I walked the 2km from the airport and Kevin was waiting for me to show me my room. He was very pleasant and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and quiet. I helped myself to a nice coffee in the morning then walked back to the airport for early morning flight. Everything was top notch!

After arriving back at the airport, I realized I'd left an item in my room. I told the shuttle driver John and he told me to stay where I was. He then raced back to the hotel and brought me the item I'd forgotten, with a big smile on his face. He's a gem.

Swords is a bustling town with a reasonable range of shops and heaps of Cafes. Nearby Pavillions shopping complex is a very large mall with everything you need. Swoprds Castle in town is worth a visit but parking is a major problem in the township unless you carry cash. It would be so much easier if cards were accepted. Streets are narrow and can get congested.

Staying in Swords and getting into Dublin by bus will be the smartest approach you can take to visiting Dublin. Dublin is super busy, making driving a definite no-go. Swords Manor Express is definitely the way to go. Easy, quick and a nice ride.

The Castle at Swords was very interesting and the woman manning the information center was so informative. Her knowledge of the site was a wonderful addition to our visit. Dinner at the Old School House was delicious and the staff very entertaining. It was just a short walk around the corner as well, as long as you're reasonably fit.

Having family here is the main reason for coming to swords, however it’s a lovely place with so much going on. From swords castle to the pavilion, if you fancy abit of shopping and not far from the beaches. It’s so close to the airport which makes it very convenient when you can be at your end destination in left than 40 minutes after landing. If you want to go into the city centre, hopping onto a bus is very simple.

Not for the faint of heart.

Not for the faint of heart. This property ranks at the top of the scale. Immaculate and beautifully appointed in every way. We had the deluxe king room. There is a shared kitchen with private fridges for each guest room loaded with enough food and snacks for a great breakfast. Gillian and Paschal are super hosts.

Where I stayed at in Swords was right across from the Swords pavilion, which was a very large mall that had different restaurants so it met my needs perfectly. I did not walk or ride around Swords. I basically spent more time in Dublin City. But what I did see of Swords, I would definitely recommend that it’s like a nice little cozy town.

You couldn’t get better if you’re seeking a stay close to Dublin airport. Parking right outside for free, an incredibly warm welcome, plenty of local info available and options to eat out locally. A large, beautifully decorated room, with flooring so soft we wondered if there was memory foam under the carpet. Impeccably clean, beautiful countryside outlook, modern, clean and spacious bathroom and an in-room breakfast buffet which exceeds the offerings at many hotels. Cannot recommend Rose Cottage enough!

Mary and Jimmy’s beautiful property was perfect for our stop in Dublin to watch the 6 nations international between Ireland v Wales. Superb family room, beautiful breakfast and the best hospitality from the owners. They couldn’t do enough for us. We have a 17 year old son with disability and Mary dropped us to either bus or train station every morning to book our daily travels and showed us around Swords and Malahide. Wonderful couple provided 1st class hospitality.
