Wexford town and county has so much to offer.
Wexford town and county has so much to offer. Please research places to visit while visiting Wexford. The town was a pleasure to walk through with an ary of shops and cafes. Must of the tourist sights are within a reasonable travelling distance of Wexford town. I would suggest before booking a hotel read reviews. Enjoy your trip to Wexford and all it offers. An interesting, welcoming town.
An interesting, welcoming town. Some fantastic beaches nearby. The Irish Heritage Museum is close to the Whitford House Hotel and well worth a visit - lots to see, allow plenty of time. Johnston Castle and Tintern Abbey are among the many fascinating places to visit.Guest review bySusan - 10.0

Wexford is situated seaside. It has a beautiful port that is several hundred feet wide and lends itself to many kinds of group activities. It's perfect for walking and looking landward to the colorful town built on a hillside. The meandering streets throughout the town are perfect for walking and enjoying the many beautiful buildings. We took a bus from Wexford town and the driver was very helpful and gave us exact directions from the bus stop to our hotel. We stayed in the Whitford Hotel just outside the town and we availed of the pool and the jacuzzi and steam room which were very pleasant. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was lovely. We walked into Wexford town and spent the day checking out the shops there. We spent most of the first day in the hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a lovely trip to Wexford, but the next time we will bring our Car as we would like to visit Hook Head. Wexford is a charming old Viking/Gaelic town.
Wexford is a charming old Viking/Gaelic town. It has the most amazing continuous main street that makes for a delightful amble, and it has " GREENACRES " A stroll along the quayside, taking in the cleanest set of trawlers you're likely to come across anywhere, is a particular delight. Though we didn't go to the opera house on this visit, it remains one of the towns' highlights.Guest review byminklesontourIreland

My husband was in the ED in Wexford General so this was not a planned few days. The staff were so kind, offering to help in any way they could.
