If you prefer less crowd, then move away from main beach entrance by at least half a kilometre on the beach. The beach visit should be in your must visit place list. There's multiple options for food & drinks. we went to Calangute for the last 3 days of our holiday so we were closer to the airport. We stayed at Patnem in the South for most of the holiday which was fantastic, peaceful and relaxed, we found Calangute much busier, however the Charleston was the perfect place to stay in the north and we would stay there again.Guest review byClareUnited Kingdom

We enjoyed the Beach facing property during our stay. I haven't tried dinner, but breakfast was included in the visit, and the quality was good. Many options were available on the menu. The place is also very close to the Calangute Beach, less crowded and clean than the main Calangute beach. There are a lot of restaurants and shopping places nearby. We opted to rent a scooter (can't imagine visiting Calangute for more than one day, other places in North goa nicer). We rented scooter from outside front of hotel. Staff were nice, but didn't always understand requests, some noise from the 4th floor in evening and morning which was not appreciated (phone ringing too loudly).
