We loved our stay at Little Peepal. We stayed in one of their newly renovated rooms and it’s been done very tastefully and was definitely the best bathroom we’ve had so far in India. Location was ideal (note that only tuktuks can get to this part of the city, not ubers) as it was central and peaceful. The roof terrace was delightful and the breakfast and dinners were delicious (the spinach crepe for breakfast was a highlight). The staff made our stay very comfortable and were helpful with booking onward trains and buses. Our favourite hotel so far in India - thank you for having us!

Nice location a walk from everywhere. Close to bars and restaurants and decent WiFi and air con. Well worth the price, and the owner was super friendly and helped us set up a taxi for onward journey.

The team at Little Garden Guest House are absolutely the most hospitable, kind, generous humans. They made our stay super comfortable, always with smiles on their faces and with pleasure. The rooms were extremely comfortable - especially the beds and the linens. Felt like a luxury hotel. Also, the ancient haveli with the center courtyard was just stunning! Beautiful place, 100% recommend.

Intimate (3 large rooms), beautifully decorated and well appointed hotel by the lake, with easy access to touristic sites and shopping. the lake view from the room at the top with its large terrace is fabulous. it is only very partial in the other two but breakfast on the rooftop makes up for it. The beds are great and the bathrooms perfect. Jassu, the personable man in charge of running single-handedly the hotel 24 hours a day welcomes and registers guests, cleans (thoroughly) the hotel and the rooms, cooks breakfast, gets up a few times every night to chase barking dogs away, provides tourist information, etc. After 20+ years on the job, he is quite familiar with service providers, restaurant operators and shopkeepers around and is a mine of information and advice for residents.

The Madri Haveli is definitly the place to stay in Udaipur. A tastefully restored old palace in a very central area, with a wonderful staff that gives the best of customer service. The rooftop restaurant serves great food made fom scratch. The whole hotel smells fantastic and has a lovely vibe. Suitable for a romantic getaway, families and business trips. Better facilities and service than all the 5-star hotels I've been to.

The location of the hotel is amazing! You take a boat with a beautiful view and come to the hotel. The way they are greeting you upon arrival is unforgettable! The rooms are so spacious and luxurious! There is a very beautiful swimming pool with a gorgeous view on the lake! I had an opportunity to do a massage in the hotel and it was one of the best deep oil massages in my life! I would recommend to go to Kimkimi for a strong good quality massage! It is very comfortable that each guest has his own butler who is available all the time. I was lucky to have such a wonderful smiling, professional butler Foustinus! She assisted with all my requests! I would definitely recommend everyone coming to this hotel when visiting Udaipur! And I was lucky as well to have a local professional guide Mitesh who showed me the city from insight, told me so many stories of how locals live, showed me a ceramic market and how locals do pottery! Absolutely everything but staff were exceptional . I had to move from a terrible hotel that my travel agent booked me in to and it was like coming from hell and going into heaven . The staff in trident are angels who make everything right. They went way above the call of duty to look after us. Jayveer was beyond exceptional and did everything to make sure we were taken care of . The hotel itself is stunning , food brilliant etc but I have never in my life experienced anything like the staff at trident . Every single one of them . Lokendra in the restaurant was outstanding , Yashika who greeted us on our first day , Saksham , who gave great service and who got Pramod the chef to give me the recipe for their curry, the best I’ve ever tasted. I will come all the way from Ireland to stay just there again . I even cancelled the hotel I had booked in Jaipur and changed to to the Trident hotel in Jaipur and will stay with the Trident group anywhere I can from now on. Their staff are at a different level entirely, better than anything I’ve ever experienced. I have to again say thanks to Jayveer for sorting out a lot of problems we had yesterday. Cancelled trains, travel agent etc and for taking care of us so well .
