The room was spacious, neat, and clean, providing a comfortable stay. The staff were polite and attentive, and the food served was delicious. One of the highlights was the stunning sea view from both the balcony and the restaurant, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

Kovalam is only 30 minutes from the International Airport in Trivandrum. Hotel Thushara is a perfect place for relax. Silence, good food, clean water in the swimming pool. Short walking distance to the main beach. People from Thushara hotel can organize trips around, They organized for us a boat trip from Alleppey to backwaters cannals. Hotel staff is very helpful

I absolutely loved staying at this property — it had such a warm and inviting atmosphere. There was something about the space that just felt calm and relaxing the moment I walked in. It was peaceful, private, and had a really positive energy throughout. The location was ideal — quiet and safe, yet still close to everything I needed. I felt genuinely comfortable and at ease the whole time. It was the kind of place you instantly feel at home in. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly pleasant experience.

The property is well located close to the Kovalam beach. The staff will pick you up at the lighthouse and escort till the hotel. The staff especially the general manager Anu Lal goes above and beyond for their guests. I had taken ill as soon as I reached Trivandrum and he took care of me from medicines to food everything was at my disposal - as a solo woman traveller, I felt super safe and cared for. I would highly recommend this property for their hospitality.

A great place to rest up for a few days.

A great place to rest up for a few days. Great restaurants along Light House Beach and fabulous shopping opportunities for gem jewellery, clothes and textiles, many are tucked away down the side alleys. Delicious food at Crab Club! Ali's Restaurant and Curry Leaf round the bay are both great places away from the hustle of the main stretch.

There’s crazy traffic on the roads - no rules, no traffic lights (maybe just one!), yet no crashes, no accidents, and no pedestrians getting run over! 🤪 There are lots good fish restaurants, but sanitation is still questionable.

Compared to Varkala I found it easy. It’s well geared-up for Europeans and the shopping is great. However, it’s a small place so ten days was far too long for me to be there. On the whole it is cheaper than Varkala and although dangerous for swimming, it is manageable, unlike Varkala where I was unable to actually swim for five days

2 or 3 days is enough for a short break in the beach area as its quite small.Nice restaurants and shops,beach and sea clear.Sun loungers and parasols cheap for the day .Street sellers can be pushy and too many but they just trying to get business.

Good place to visit but stay in the hotels on the main road. Enjoy sea food in the restaurants on the beach. The beach needs clean up of rubbish. The best place to eat was Lonely Planet and Jeevan restaurant for beer and food.

Kovalam is a nice beach.

Kovalam is a nice beach. I had visited this place almost 40 yrs back as a kid but this time was a difference experience altogether. It is great if you are able to hire a car here and then move around. The experience from lighthouse on the lighthouse beach is something unique. The beach itself is nice and clean and you do get beds at INR 100 where you can rest and put your clothes while you take a small dip in the sea. In case you are looking for vegetarian food, the options are less but not non-existent. Overall a very nice stay.

I am originally from Trivandrum and I have stayed in this property when it was owned by ITDC, then Leela and now by Raviz. The hotel looks tired and needs investment in refurbishment. The restaurants were like going to a fish market, crowded and terrible service, food was ok and nothing to rave about. Not sure why this hotel had a board in the lobby saying '#1 The Best Resort In India'. The location of the resort is superb however the rest is not worthy of the claim seen on the board in the lobby.

Ganesh Ayurveda Bed and Breakfast was a lovely relaxing hotel set in the beautiful Kerala countryside just outside Kovalam. Murugan, our host, was very welcoming and attentive and did all that he could to make it an enjoyable healthy holiday. He arranged some amazing Ayurveda treatments for my partner and myself, and it was good to swim in the pool and relax in the sun! Breakfast was hearty and delicious, fruit followed by dosa, with choice of drinks. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday.

Everything is perfect as per expectation. Owner Mr charles is very helpful and friendly. Room is very nice, with lush green garden infront of balcony. Charles is very knowledgable person and helpful for organizing trips . Accomodations is very clean and u get breakfast in morning between 9 to 10 am with local kerala receive. Incase I come back to kovalam, will book it again. Home is clean and quite peace with good atmosphere
