It was centrally located to visit various temples in Thanjavur district. All the temples were within 70 to 80 km range that gives a hour and half time for travel by car. Roads were narrow at places and we had a bit of trouble following the G-maps as it was directing us to reach in a shorter time but through narrow roads.Our main purpose of the visit was to visit important and famous temples and we had a good time in visiting these temples and execute the journey as per our plan without any hassles.Guest review byVISHVANATHIndia - 10.0

A city truly deserving of the epithet TEMPLE CITY, Kumbakonam and its surrounding areas are truly replete with temples. There isn't going to be ever enough time to visit all of them, so being prepared with a list to visit would be helpful. The city reeks of poor maintenance. The city sidewalks are strewn with garbage, and unclean roads add up to the mess. The city offers excellent connectivity to nearby villages, which have historically important temples abounding, and if you give yourself enough time, you can actually commute without burning your wallet.Guest review byR GopalakrishnanIndia

The rooms were well kept with a modern bathroom, and the hotel was tastefully decorated. The staff at reception were very helpful and allowed us a late check-out. There was even accommodation and meals arranged for drivers. The food at Annalakshmi Restaurant was excellent.
