The Rooms were clean and decently lit up. The AC and fan for circulation worked nicely considering the warm weather outside. Mr. Kumar was very helpful and was prompt in helping whenever and whatever you need. With my booking of complementary breakfast the quantity was good enough. Close to the beach and close to shore temple gives you access to all places with ease. If you are good with walking you will be able to cover all places by walking too. The property is at the end of a road so parking even though outside is like within the property area. The Facilities in this property are basic needs and hence rated according to that don't expect awesome facilities like a swimming pool, gym, etc like 5* facilities here. Overall a highly recommended budget stay.

We did not visit Mahabalipuram as we were traveling with elderly folks and just wanted a weekend break. But since we live in Chennai, we have been to Mahabalipuram dozens of times! It is always an incredible place to visit and the ancient ruins from the Pallava dynastic times are breathtaking in their beauty and relevance to our local culture. Well worth a visit if you’re ever in the neighborhood …

GREAT place to visit, Indian heritage on display!

GREAT place to visit, Indian heritage on display! The monolithic 6-7th century rock sculptures are a treat to the eyes. The humour of the sculptor well visible in the "lice picking monkey" and the "cat doing yoga" sculptures. Plan early am start April as it is quite hot by 10.30 am. The site is open by 6am, i think. Shell museum is unique and is quite a marvel. Not to be missed. Welcome ice-cream store there.

Such a wonderful place for relaxing and exploring..

Such a wonderful place for relaxing and exploring.. We stayed near the beach and ate at Eagles Nest cafe and restaurant.. The food was really great and top notch.. And explored all monuments... Shore temple, krishna's butter ball, Arjunas penance, and five rathas is a must visit places and there nice long long beaches to walk around.

Mahabalipuram is a nice place.

Mahabalipuram is a nice place. One should plan for at least 2 nights and 2 full days at Mahabalipuram. Visit to Shell Museum is a must and has amazing collection of Pearls, Mineral rocks and Shells from around the world. I found beach at Mahabalipuram better than Pondicherry. Crocodile Park is also amazing

The temple complex is spread out but well worth the walking!

The temple complex is spread out but well worth the walking! This is 10th Century granite carving at its best - I really was impressed with Arjuna's Penance. Plenty of places to eat good fish dinners and local folk were friendly and helpful.

This hotel was everything I needed and more. It's very close to the stone temple and beach. Easy walking distance to everywhere I wanted to go. The guys working in reception were helpful throughout my whole stay. One even helped me sort out my next travel plans. The room had toiletries as well as a kettle with tea and coffee. Breakfast was pretty good! As a solo female traveler, I felt comfortable, safe, and cared for here at this hotel.

This hotel is located in a gated community complex of apartments some 9 km out of Mahabalipuram. Access to a pool, gym, and billiards, games is very welcome. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. Very fresh idly/dosa breakfasts.
