Very friendly staff. The knock on the door at night informing about Northern Lights' appearance is a big help. The location is fantastic. There is no light pollution and clear skies making the hotel a great place to see Aurora Borealis. We had a great sighting of Northern Lights at 10 pm on the very first day of our stay. It was a great dance of lights in the sky for 40 minutes. This is the second time we are staying in this hotel and we have been rewarded with great sights of Northern Lights in both times.

It's the 2nd stay since 2019, I was stucked due to strong storm and snow nearby cottage where was 200 meters away. The host helped me and another guests who were also stucked. I really stay in March.

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the...

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

The hosts are very friendly and attentive. They give you a quick tour and explain all the necessities as you arrive. Hotel is very neat, clean and organized. Looks like an old barn made into something so cozy! The view and the nature is amazing! Domestic animals are the point of attraction for people who are into animals, kids would definitely love it.

The hotel's prime location in the heart of the city made it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, offering a wide variety of fresh, local dishes and international options. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and featured a comfortable king-sized bed with premium linens and a stunning city view.
