Absolutely amazing. Beautiful new renovated rooms. Large spaces, shared 2 bathrooms and kitchen. Use of toiletries and kitchen facilities. Accommodation at the foot of the mountains where the views and tranquility are beautiful. Lovely friendly dog as well as his owners. So far the best accommodation we have been to in Iceland. Bed was comfortable and view from windows was fantastic. It was very peaciful. A boy(with long hair) on reception was very polite and he gave us good informstion. Also,he help us with suitcase.

We had an incredible stay at the Country Hotel. The rooms were great and so was the breakfast. We were really looking forward to eating dinner at their on-site restaurant, but unfortunately it was already closed for the season. Nevertheless, it was only a few minutes into Hofn where there were some great restaurants (our favorite was Pakkhus). The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and you can see multiple glaciers from the breakfast room!

Just 5 minutes’ drive from Höfn in south-east Iceland, this hotel is found along Route 1, close to the country’s largest glacier Vatnajökull.

Very close to the main road and around 50 mins from Diamond Beach. The room had a kettle and cups, and the breakfast had a big assortment.

We like that the room is equipped with many power sockets. We could simultaneously charge our phones, extra battery and insta360 all at the same time. The room was also sunset facing which meant that we had good sun (and heat) in the evening to dry our clothes, and especially socks. The room also came with heavy curtains to block off the midnight sun. Beds were very comfy and we were well-rested for the night. Next morning, the buffet breakfast was such a treat.
