The breakfast was super. Very good location for your trip from south to east or the other way. Warm welcome and real hospitality. Very friendly owner. The appartment has everything. The owner gave us extra info about road conditions. Would really recommend this accomodation to other people.

Very convenient cottage. Spacious for 4 person family. We hiked nearby (200m from flat) Hvannagir Canyon loop, 16 kilometers on 2nd day. Very nice hiking root and nice scenery. Near by lamb farm also nice attraction. Sea and mountain view. Perfect location for Iceland roundtrip.

I loved the hospitality and hygiene at Arnanes. Everything looked so clean and nice. And also the way the hotel is situated in nature is amazing. A great view upon the mountains, that's even more beautiful with sunrise and sunset! The owners were very friendly and always in for a chat, and even some sightseeing and aurora advice. Bonus for Dutch travelers: the owner also speaks a good amount of Dutch! I'm definitely coming back to this hotel if I visit Iceland again. Really enjoyed my stay there.

We got a corner room from where the view was amazing to the mountains. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the staff was super kind. The breakfast was really like in a bigger hotel, so many options, fruits, pastries, cereal, everything you fancy before a long day of travelling/hiking.

Good location, very close to Hofn. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. If you are not too tired and have a few minutes to spare, I recommend you read "The Story of the House" (it had no title, so the name is not real). The owner was more than dedicated when she shared details about both the history of the house and the family, but also small details about Icelandic life. Haukaberg House is one of the places where we would return with the greatest pleasure.
