This wonderful century old house is a treat to stay at. Quaint, comfortable and very clean. Very good value for Husafell and convenient for the many good walks. The host is very caring and generous, and will often provide waffles and soup, as well as the plentiful breakfast. We have stayed twice for several days and would love to return. Just a note: There are quite steep steps in the house.

This countryside property, in the Western Iceland town of Borgarfjördur, is next to the Hvítá Glacial River. It offers free Wi-Fi in the reception, as well as an on-site bar.

I really Enjoyed the stay, even though the house itself is not very new. Inside, you will find everything you would need for a short stay, there’s a fully equipped kitchen, small bathroom, one bedroom, and the other bedroom for two additional guests is upstairs in the attic. There is also a living room with different board games available in the TV. The most memorable experience is of course, a hot tub, which is located outside the house on the patio, there is also a barbecue available for guests. A hot tub at is full of water and hot once you arrive, but  you can also add hot or cold water based on your needs. A truly amazing experience, sitting in a hot tub at night looking at a starry sky with no light pollution. We were even lucky enough to see northern lights. I can highly recommend this place.

Great cottage! It had everything needed, we made use of the super hot tub and gas barbecue! The bed was comfortable and the place looked modern. It was located in a remote place, which is good if you value privacy. You have some attractions nearby, including the glacier and lava caves.

Cosy family farmhouse provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 36 km of Bjarnafoss. This villa features a garden as well as a terrace.

Fosshotel Reykholt is only a few minutes’ drive from the hot springs of Deildartunguhver and the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. It offers free parking and WiFi.
