This was an excellent hotel, the room was spacious and the view was lovely. We ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the burger and soup. The breakfast choice was varied and plenty of it. The staff were most helpful when I asked for hot water for my flask. Overall this Hotel did exceed my expectations. Highly recommended.

Iceland is a very expensive place to travel and this guest house was average price for Iceland but the quality of the rooms were low average. Our room had such a bad slope on it we had to sleep at the other end of the bed with our heads above our feet. The bathroom had a toilet in the middle of the room, you had to walk around it to get to the shower and even though the room came with breakfast included it was very poor quality.

The hostel is easily located. The cleanliness is top notch. Super easy to check-in. Parking is right in front of the main door. Pantry is fully equipped. Bathroom/shower is sufficient for both floors and squeaky clean. Just that the Quad room is abit small.

High quality apartment, beds great etc. Problem was getting there was a hassel of the off road time with very difficult roads. Too expensive given that. And it was a construction site, per the picture out of our window.

There was a lot of noise.

There was a lot of noise. We weren't on the main building and when people walked in the hallway you got a lot of noises. Also the fan in the toilet turned on every time you turned on the lights and it stayed on for 15 minutes after.

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.

The best hostel in Iceland. Located perfectly, in a wonderful vicinity with a small lake, a view on mountains, glaciers, a river valley. Very nice owner, Polish crew, everything is clean, a kitchen is well-equipped. You can wash and dry your clothes. Relatively not too expensive (like in Iceland). I was fourth time here and I love this place. It is my second home... Thank you very much! :)

We had an amazing stay here at Eldhraun Holiday home. The cabin was clean, very cosy and had everything one could need while staying there. Linda is an amazing host and very easy to communicate. Breakfast was delicious and hot tub was a perfect way to relax after a long day. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Iceland.

A lovely cosy apartment with pretty much everything you need. Immaculately clean and extremely comfortable beds - the apartment was also the perfect temperature too! Wonderful views and the perfect remote location for exploring southern Iceland.
