The description was exact but no words can describe the exquisite design nor the landscape. It is an experience like no other. My 18 year old daughter and I stayed in an artists cottage and from the moment we spotted the property, we knew it was special. The communication and directions were excellent so our arrival and check in were seemless. It is pricey, but it deserves to be.

Nice suits on the 20th floor with a fantastic view of the ocean. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Breakfast in the room was delicious and too much for us :) A self-service bar with a free coffee/tee is an excellent complimentary. We enjoyed our stay here.

Beds were very comfortable. There was a great selection at breakfast - everything you could want! Hotel also has a restaurant which is good for evenings where you arrive late from a tour or don't have much time before going on another. Checkin was very easy - no problems at all and were able to store luggage due to early arrival time. It is about 45 min walk away from centre of Reykjavik but this is reflected in the price but you come across cheaper restaurants and bars so worth looking around! All bus tours pick up from this location. Organised bus transfer to airport from hotel with no issues and very prompt arrival! Great time!

We stayed here for the last two nights of our Iceland trip. Self check in was seamless. Found the room to be neat and clean. The shower drain was blocked which they fixed after we notified them. Breakfast was also decent with all the standard breakfast items.

Disclaimer: I also posted this review on TripAdvisor. TL:DR - Awesome hotel in amazing country. It was a Christmas family trip. Amazing hotel, great service. Super helpful and friendly (even the smallest things, like tips on Northern Lights, or Gin recommendation, or how to pronounce their local beer name, etc). Breakfast is continental, but you can also get some local treats. All fresh each day. Coffee for free all day long. Oh, and the sofas with the furs at the far end of the bar - you could sit there for hours! :) It's walking distance to the city centre (it took us around 20mins to walk in full snow with a little guy who wanted to explore each snow pile, so you will get into the city centre in 10mins if you want). Also, it's like 5 mins walk to the seaside.

First hotel when reaching Reykjavik. The owners are very nice people. The room was lovely and the toilet was spacious. The hotel is conveniently located right next to a supermarket, a lovely walk in the morning or evening. The owners prepare coffee and biscuits for you in the morning. A lovely room overall.
