The staff friendly as always (2nd time here after 4 years). The room was cozy, clean and warm. The dinning area was well prepared and also a nice touch with tea,water and free coffee. Near the hotel we Foundation nice local restaurantsand harnice relaxing evening at Fontana Geotermal Spa. Later în tue night the aurora borealis could be spotted 10 min driving from the hotel.

The property is beautiful, new and clean. Great location. We had a mix up with the location, Apple Maps took us close to hella which is an hour away. It turned out to be an issue more with Apple. I contacted the host within minutes he sent a pin with coordinates and also messaged a few times to make sure we got there safe. Really turned things around. Would recommend coordinates on the page.

I have driven through on numerous occasions but never...

I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national...

Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

Charming cottage in the middle of the meadows with grazing sheep and singing birds. The cottage looks small from the outside but in fact it's a full-fledged hotel room of a good size with a fully equipped kitchenette and a comfortable bathroom. The cottage is nicely furnished, very clean. Would like to stay again.
