Incredible fjord location! The hot tub, sauna and shower facilities were perfect. The lodge itself was very spacious, warm and cozy. We even got a visit from an artic fox, wonderful experience. Would whole heartedly recommend!

We used the hot tub and sauna, which was great after a long day of travel. And we saw beautiful northern lights at this location. Elsa was kind to show them to us as they started up, and informed the other guests next to us also. They were a spectacular show of northern lights, and one of the highlights of our trip. We also got to give the sheep a bottle. So cute!

The two hosts were fantastic, they made us feel right at home! Upon check-in, the owner gave us a tour of the entire hotel and explained the story behind their business and their family. Had some lovely talks with both of them throughout our stay and I loved all the personal touches they added to the decor of the hotel. They were extremely accommodating and even let us put a few groceries in their fridge. We made our own dinner in the shared kitchen and enjoyed it on the outside terrace while watching the sunset behind the mountains. The surroundings were peaceful and offered the most beautiful views. We even watched a wild fox come and play with their dog!! The kitchen was clean and fully stocked with all of the equipment you need. Breakfast was superb, they offered a wide variety of meats, cheese, cereal, fruit and even fresh bread baked by the owner's wife. Our room was spacious, had a separate/private entrace, large bathroom and even included an extremely comfortable couch to relax on. Their service and hospitality was our favourite part. This was the best stay in all of Iceland, and we are so happy to have met the hosts!

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away.

This little house cannot be called luxury, but it is incredibly cozy. We had the best three days of our 2-weeks journey around Iceland in this place. It is especially well equipped with every little detail to make you feel at home and relaxed. The kitchen has everything one might think of. Small but very cozy bedroom, where you feel like in a cradle and don't want to leave. Thank you very much to the owner who has thought of everything with love and care! Very much recommended!!!
