Anacapri is way quieter than Capri.
Anacapri is way quieter than Capri. I see that as a good thing. Anacapri gets busy during the day with all the day trippers... Thanks to the gondola, Blue grotto etc. But once they leave... that's when Anacapri shines. We loved the quiet evenings, the amazing sunsets, the now empty swimming holes... We loved staying in Anacapri for a weekend...away from the mobs in Capri. Beautiful, friendly little town with terrific restaurants. Really nice in the evenings when most of the tourists are gone. We took the chairlift from right in town up to the top of the mountain. It was amazing. We did go down to Capri one day to take it in...then retreated back to Anacapri! We loved being able to walk to the town from our hotel (San Michelle). It was all so beautiful. The hotel staff gave us great recommendations for restaurants, and what to see. Capri was congested from 10 am till 4 pm.
Capri was congested from 10 am till 4 pm. Anacapri was not as filled with tourists. More where the locals live. Lots of little cafes and restaurants. LOVED AummAumm for pizza and pasta. Much easier to grab a bus than in Capri. The shops in Capri are very high end, I liked the shops in Anacapri for my pocketbook! Anacapri is lovely if you don't have mobility problems.
Anacapri is lovely if you don't have mobility problems. It is very hilly and very few pavements so walking is not easy if you have mobility problems. We got taxis everywhere which were easy to get but we had hoped to walk more.Guest review byCaroleUnited Kingdom

Plenty of breakfast food, juice, milk, tea, coffee was also provided and some gorgeous welcome treats. The owner was very friendly and she was there to meet us and give us the key. The apartment is in Anacapri which is a perfect loction for exploring Capri. It is beside the bus stop for buses to the Marina Grande, Capri and other locations around the island.
