The house is charming, state of the art, centrally located, easy to reach by car and offers all the comforts one can wish for. Francesca welcomed us so warmly and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and all things to explore in the area. We couldn't have asked for anything more and thoroughly enjoyed our time at Asilo. Would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the village of Barolo. Bonus: there is even gated parking and a charger for EVs!

VINEHO was the most perfect experience. I was going to stay in Alba for 5 nights, but I decided to treat myself, and it was the best decision I could make. I was worried that my expectations were too high as I have Italian heritage, and I love Barolo wine, but VINEHO blew my expectations away! I was a solo traveller (in my early 30s), and even though I was the only guest for my whole stay, it was magnificent. Cristina was an extremely helpful, friendly, and hospitable host. She allowed me to check in early and responded to my WhatsApp messages within minutes. Each time I saw her, she had a glowing smile, and she happily chatted with me in our mix of English and Italian. Lucia, Cristina's daughter, was also very kind and sociable. Lucia was always present during breakfast. She made coffee and happily conversed with me about VINEHO, the vineyard, and life. I also had the pleasure of briefly meeting Lucia's nonna and nonno, who were both very happy and welcoming. The breakfast was a highlight - in addition to Lucia's warm pressence, there was delicious Italian food prepared by Lucia's nonna each morning, plus a range of fruit from the garden and other homemade cakes. Everything reminded me of my nonna's cooking. And if everything above isn't enough to convince you, the pool was magical, the views were stunning, the apartment was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped... 10/10 I will return! Grazie Cristina! Grazie Lucia! It was a pleasure meeting you.

Comfortable bed in tastefully decorated room, with large bathroom. Park three steps from the door to the suite! But what mattered most to us was the lovely way we were treated by the owner, Beatrice. Anyone that stays here and doesn't like the breakfast, is very hard to please! The freshly baked cakes that Luciana makes wafts from the kitchen... heavenly. Parking is best we have had. Views are stunning and sitting out on our little balcony was so peaceful and relaxing. Bedroom spotless, linen on bed crisp and ironed.

Be prepared to do a lot of walking either up or down hill. We visited in November, and while there were still quite a lot of visitors it was not overcrowded and it was possible to get into the places of interest without long waits. If intending to take lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants it is better to book in advance as the most popular ones seen to get quite busy.

Barolo is a famous and cute little italian village and the best vine on Earth (to me personally). :) We had a lovely walk around in this region with my husband on our latest visit and we loved its magical vineyard hills even more than the village itself. Because sadly the only downside (like with many similarly famous italian areas) is that it can become quiet busy and crowded with too many tourists and not so enjoyable if you prefer a more peaceful relaxing holiday like us. It is definitely worth to visit the village too, to grab an ice cream or an aperitivo but having long walks outside in its beautiful vineyard hills is a must have for a true and authentic Piemonte experience! :) It is very easy to get around in the vineyards of Barolo also by foot or by bike or scooters but would recommend to pay a visit not only in summer time but also during spring or autumn when its less crowded probably.

Barolo is a very pretty town surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards. We travelled by car and it was easy to visit lots of pretty towns in this beautiful region. Barolo offers a selection of restaurants and pizzeria offering very good food, service and of course great wines and everyone was very welcoming.

A perfect place to stay in the Piedmont region.

A perfect place to stay in the Piedmont region. We started in Asti & then Turin. Its great to get out of the city and see "real" Italy, garnished in grapes ready to harvest. I felt like I was in a fairy tale. Barolo was a great town to be in and biking was phenomenal there.

Very happy to be back at Residence delle Rose, breath-taking views across prime vineyards from the swimming pool and a stone's throw from Barolo, Castiglione Falletto etc. Very friendly owners, also good for families as you can be self sufficient with access to your own kitchen facilities.
