The ferry was very useful in getting around, and the staff were all very helpful with understanding the routes and times. Bellano was a hidden gem to visit with the waterfalls but the castle was a very steep trek that we didn’t find to be worth it at the end. Most restaurants close on either Tuesday or Wednesday so look up online incase there’s any you particularly want to eat at as we missed out on a couple. This is also the same for tourist attractions such as the villas. Coming from the UK we assumed everywhere touristy would be open 7 days a week but not in Italy. There is lots to do but just make sure you’re aware of the ferry times/train times so you don’t get stuck somewhere you don’t want to.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0

Bellagio was very pretty but the apartment with wonderful Italy or booking.com should not be used. BEWARE of these companies as we had young kids with us and spent over an hour wandering around not able to find the location. I am sorry but watch the video that does not give detailed info on location is not helpful. Also private parking appartently is only valid if there are spaces open as it was a public parking area and when we were there no spaces to be had. We had to pay for parking on top of the apartment fee and we couldn't even access the apartment as they did not send over the information as promisedGuest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Bellagio is a beautiful place, though it can be quite busy and crowded. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by an unpleasant encounter with a policewoman who was not friendly at all. We had just arrived and accidentally parked in a residential parking area. Despite our attempt to explain the mistake and our immediate departure, she issued us a ticket. This is not my favorite Italian town. Too glitzy and feels a little soleless. Like an Italian Beverly Hills (which is still way better than Beverly Hills itself). The hotel was up many steps and I am not much for physical but it was fine. The hotel was centrally located in town and directly across from the ferry station. When we arrived we were given a drink and lovely snack, which was very unexpected and generous. The B&B itself is nice, with great views over lake como. Our room had everything we needed and was cleaned daily. Breakfast was a highlight and went well above our expectations.
