The property was fantastic! The decor was extremely comfortable and the art work displayed throughout the apartment was exceptional. Roberta and Cristiano were very gracious and excellent hosts, and they were helpful in every way possible. I highly recommend this beautiful apartment for your visit to Calcata.

Great location, very comfortable, everything you need. We also ate at La Piazzetta, the restaurant below the apartment; the great wifi is shared by the two facilities. But, the best part was Serena who communicated well and was always very willing and available to help.

The location is the best I could hope for. The view from the patio was breath-taking. The apartment itself was spacious enough to host the two of us and our dogs, but also small enough to keep it comfortable and intimate. For the record, it could have comfortably hosted a couple of children too The looks of the apartment is everything you'd want in a place like Calcata. Modern comfort, with a 70's vibe and a medieval wine cellar soul in its architecture. Carla has been super sweet to us, very reliable, easy to reach and flexible with our arrival time, which made a lot of difference for us. The path to get to the apartment is stunningly charming, but a bit steep and narrow, so you should take it into account if you have trouble walking, vertigo or small children. All the basics were there: hot shower hand towels working lights + ambience lights clean linen working fridge (can't remember if there's a freezer) working stoves kitchenware Coffee machine and a mocha Working WiFi TV wine ... And a pie 🩷 I didnt eat it (maybe my friend did) but it was a very appreciated touch. The place is quiet, charming and safe. The apartment by itself would have been worth the entire trip. So thank you Carla! All thumbs are up Diego, Ilaria, Nemo and Pisciolo

    Pros:

    Pros: Quirky and unique artistic community in a proper ancient medieval hill town. Extremely friendly locals, Eccentric little shops and restaurants - we had some lovely food, and some ... err ... slightly more bohemian food. Many of the properties are built right into the cliff face - everywhere you turn is photogenic in a decayed, ramshackle sort of way. Loads of gorgeous walks in good weather in the surrounding woods and hills. Cons: Out of season most of the shops and restaurants are closed - so don't expect any night life (we didn't go in the summer, when presumably it is more lively) Public car park is a steep 15-minute walk up hill from the old town
