Gianluca is a great host! He arranged everything so we could felt at home, and provided an upgrade on one of the rooms. Awesome breakfast with all kind of homemade sweets, and he prepared some eggs for the ones that preferred a salty one. Free private parking inside the premises, mosquito nets on the windows, and very comfortable beds. The cherry on the cake was the Caltagirone free tour his father did for us. Thank you!!

Russa Belladonna was a wonderful place. It has good atmosphere, great staff and owners that are super welcoming and want your stay to be the best. One in the family, Stefano turned 30years the day that i arrived and they invited me for the party. It was really welcoming, fun and the home made italian buffet was amazing! I also had breakfast and dinner there and it was great! Welcoming people and i recomend staying at Russa Belladonna!

Our stay at Salvo’s B&B was the best ever. The room was very stylish with a super comfortable bed. The breakfast was really divine. But above this all, the kindness of our host was what we appreciated the most. He gave us good addresses of local bistros and liked to take the best care of us. Especially when he instantly helped us when our car was moved by the police due to the procession at Easter. We can definitely recommend B&B Ronco Zaffarana when visiting Caltagirone, which is lovely too.

Scala steps okay but better seen when decorated. Official followed us around the old gaol, very intimidating! Did they think we were going to damage something? Reasonable buses around town, but very poor getting away. We were given false information about the bus to leave, others didn't arrive. Had to get an expensive taxi. Officials/drivers could not care less.

Positives: - beautiful old town

Positives: - beautiful old town - fantastic location on a hill with great views - beautifully designed park with pretty ceramic decorations on its fence - lots of shops with magnificent traditional hand-crafted china Negatives: - very few bus connections - e.g. the only buses to Enna are at 4.00 and 6.00 AM! - train connections suspended (temporarily?) - limited number of restaurants + mostly standard Italian dishes, nothing specifically from the region or Caltagirone - Caltagirone is famous for its china, however, both museums with modern and antique china collections are closed; what's more, nobody has any information about this fact and they still give you directions to these museums!!! - tourist information office exists but it's definitely closed on Saturdays and Sundays (avoid weekends when planning your visit there!) and there's nowhere you can get information about the attractions in the town or even a simple map!! - everything is closed on Sundays except some shops with china; even some restaurants close after 3.00PM!!

Beautiful architecture and use of ceramics.

Beautiful architecture and use of ceramics. (The 142 stairs of Santa Maria del Monte are stunning - climb if you can!.) Second biggest park in Italy (I was told) – a great spot for relaxing and watching the world go by. City free of fake souvenirs and not crowded. Fascinating place for wandering the back streets. Helpful residents - great food. My favourite place in Sicily so far!

The staff were great especially the pool boy! Great vibe. I think if the place would be more invested in, it would be beautiful. I would stay there again IF i had to, rooms were clean and cleanliness is key, however, they were a bit run down. Wouldnt shut it off, but would contemplate.

This is a beautiful city.

This is a beautiful city. I wish that I could have seen it on a weekend that was not the easter weekend though. The easter procession was amazing however the day after that was extremely quiet and it was very hard to find places to eat. I know this is totally to be expected and we still had a lovely time wandering the streets.

We liked every single thing, starting from the warm welcome from our wonderful host Davide, then the excitement of exploring the beauty of Caltagirone to the return to a sunny, comfortable, nicely furnished room with ambiance to wish for. The owners are very friendly and ready to help. We were provided with an excellent breakfast at a nearby bar. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are nicely equipped, and the kitchen and living room have everything we needed. We spent two weeks in this accommodation, as a base for touring Sicily.

This was a nice apartment with views of Etna from the back window. It was warm and comfortable and I would recommend this apartment if you are staying in Caltagirone. It is within easy walking distance of the town centre and it was easy to find free parking outside.
