We spent a lovely long weekend at the Agriturismo Sant'Illuminato; we needed pure relaxation and we found the ideal structure to find refreshment, tranquility surrounded by nature and hosted by a very kind staff, attentive to every detail and able to make us feel at ease; the apartment where we stayed was large and finely furnished, with a usable kitchen and bathroom with shower; Marco is also an excellent cook and wine expert and prepared a fantastic dinner for us; for breakfast we had also a "ciambellone" cake prepared by him with ingredients suitable for my food intolerance; an experience that we will remember for a long time, highly recommended

Gorgeous location, spectacular views over the verdant Umbrian hills. We love the village of Montone, excellent restaurants - we would recommend them all (Erba Luna, Osteria Antico, Verziere and more expensive but worth it: Locanda/Tipico). Best if you have a car but lots of hiking trails if you don’t. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is continental style- bread / pastries, cheese and ham, boiled eggs and cereals. Rooms are comfortable, great night sleep on the mattresses and quiet. We had a premium room with a large terrace which we would recommend.
