This is a great place to experience the beauty and calmness of the Tuscany hills in a hundreds of years old, beautifully renovated villa. The rooms were very clean. We had breakfast outside overlooking the stunning hills. All the food and other products are homemade or locally sourced and of a high quality. We really enjoyed the wine and apple juice, which you can buy for a good price from the property. The host also left a few bottles in our room before we arrived but you can get all the products from the lounge opened 24h. Silvia sent details instruction how to get to the property avoiding too narrow roads. You do need a car to get there.

It was authentically decorated, exceptionally clean, the bed was so comfortable and the location was fabulous. High ceilings, spacious and really worth a stay. Fiesole is quiet, ideal for couples and has lovely local restaurants. The bus journey into Florence is about 25mins but is dependent on traffic. We were happy not to be in the busy tourist area.

Fiesole has many sites to explore with its fantastic amphitheatre, monastery and cathedral. It has some excellent restaurants and local shops. We loved the Snooty Fox with its delicious authentic Italian food, Terrazza with its roof terrace with amazing views over Florence, Pizzeria Buca delle Fate, Ristorante BISTROT AL 5. Anyone who likes hiking in between city visits, will find some beautiful nature walks.

Fiesole is a must for visitors to Tuscany. This small hill top town is a peaceful place to stay outside Firenze. The best restaurant is Has an outdoor terrace it’s on the right as you arrive into the piazza. The hotel we stayed at was FH55 villa Fiesole. I highly recommend this hotel.

Fiesole is a small, peaceful town just above Florence, where you can take in incredible views of the city and the rolling Tuscan hills. It’s the kind of place where time slows down—a quiet walk, a coffee in a sunny piazza, ancient ruins tucked between trees. The local museum, right next to a Roman amphitheater and Etruscan remains, is small but full of character—just enough to give you a sense of how deep the history runs here. It feels local, lived-in, and just far enough from the crowds to breathe.

The countryside of Fiesole is beautiful.

The countryside of Fiesole is beautiful. Hotel and needs updating. Some damp on walls in bedroom, a/c has to be climatized by reception and is on a timer. Windows in bedroom too high to get so unable to open them. We had to sleep with our main bedroom door open one night as it was hot and stuffy. Pool area was lovely, despite no bar anywhere nearby you have to walk up to main building to get drinks or snacks which have to be paid then. Basically no tab!! Only positive thing was the fish restaurant up the road, highly recommend this it was a fantastic meal!! We booked this hotel as a pit stop as we were heading down south from Croatia. Didn’t realise it was a 2* and definitely not 2* prices. Way overpriced if so. Expected something much better for the proscenium we paid.

Fiesole is a picturesque town within the hills of Tuscany, it has excellent transport links to the city of Florence, and hiking routes for those that love walking. There are good restaurants, although we found getting a taxi back to our hotel in the evening sometimes a problem. Despite restaurant staff trying to call for us. The view point with views over Florence is spectacular.

The purpose our visit to Fiesole was to celebrate our friend's birthday whom we had not seen for years. We had never heard of Fiesole, but they were staying there for a 3 week holiday (from Canada) and so we joined them with zero expectations. Fiesole was absolutely lovely, and frankly two days was not enough. We ate very well at local restaurants and visited the lovely Franciscan monastery on top of the hill, which is well worth a look. An incredible museum with Chinese coins dating back to the 100AC (!) and an Egyptian mummified kitten amongst other extremely old antiquities! Was not expecting that LOL! View of Florence is spectacular from Fiesole, and to think you are in a small little quiet 'village' just 20 mins drive away.

The hotel overall was very good. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was extremely clean and an overall great standard. The position of the hotel had great views over looking Florence. The road leading up to the hotel has public transport if you do not opt to drive or get there by taxi. The breakfast selection was very good, and the evening meal was exceptional. The bar was open to use, we did not use it during our stay as we made alternative plans.

This is such a nicely renovated and comfortable apartment. We fell in love with it and had a great stay. It has beautiful views from the balcony. We loved Fiesole and found it really easy to get to and from Florence. Our hosts were very helpful with information and dinner recommendations. I highly recommend Gladys Apartment as a place to stay.
