The walk from the San Pellegrino pass to rifugio fuciada is fantastic as it is pretty flat, not too far (8 km round trip approx) and can be done with snow boots even in Dec/Jan. The scenery of the mountains and warm atmosphere, drinks and food of the rifugio make it an fabulous winter walk. Moena is fantastic place in the beautiful Dolomites - it is not on the doorstep of the skiing resorts, but a short transfer (15min) will take you to the most common ones - San Pellegrino area being our favourite. The bed was big and comfy. The bathroom was freshly renovated. We would like to give a special thanks to the staff, especially the nice waitress whose name we didn’t catch. She was very helpful during our stay, when we went to ask for a reservation for dinner she kindly took it upon herself to translate the menu to polish so that it would be easier for us to understand. We loved the bedroom, it was very cozy and extremely clean. The breakfast was excellent for the two of us and the idea to have it delivered to our room is great I believe.
