I'm excited to share my recent experience at the Briisa de Ness Hotel on Lake Como, where my best friend and I enjoyed a delightful getaway. Nestled along the shores of Lake Como, this hotel boasts a truly dreamy location. Waking up to the serene views of the lake and the surrounding mountains was a highlight of our stay. The picturesque setting provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. The dining experience at the hotel's restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was impeccably prepared and bursting with flavor, showcasing the finest local ingredients. Every meal felt like a culinary journey, leaving us craving for more. Moreover, the location in the town of Nesso is fantastic for excursions to Bellagio, Como, and other nearby attractions. Additionally, Nesso itself has plenty of wonderful sights to offer, all within walking distance from the hotel. The quaint town, much like the hotel, exudes charm, and the locals are incredibly friendly, adding to the special experience of our stay. Samanta and Riccardo, the charming couple behind the hotel, share a passion for cooking, fine dining, and creating a welcoming atmosphere filled with hospitality and positive energy. Their warm hospitality and personal touch made our stay truly memorable. From the tastefully decorated interiors to the impeccable service, Samanta and Riccardo create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere that sets Briisa de Ness apart. Overall, our time at the Briisa de Ness Hotel was truly memorable, thanks to its enchanting surroundings, the warmth of the local community, and the hospitality of Samanta and Riccardo. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil and charming retreat by Lake Como.

I managed to get a very good low season deal on this place for my 2 day/1 night trip to Lake Como. It was a bit of a gamble booking somewhere with no reviews on Google or here, but I’m really glad I did. The bedrooms are spacious, the kitchen has lots of facilities for cooking your own meals, and the balcony has uninterrupted views of the lake as promised. Bonus points for the vintage decor and big TV in the living room also :) The village of Nesso is also well worth checking out - if you don’t have a car, it’s on the C30 bus line between Como and Bellagio. Overall would highly recommend for families, couples and solo travellers alike.

This apartment was perfect—totally beyond our expectations! Linda, the owner, met us when we arrived and was incredibly kind and helpful. She gave us great tips about the apartment, local attractions, and nearby transportation—and even brought us a cake! So thoughtful! 🍰 The apartment itself was spotless, beautifully renovated, and decorated with a really high-end feel. The kitchen had everything we needed—seriously, nothing was missing. And the view? Absolutely stunning! We had such a great time and would 100% stay here again!

Amazing view of Lake Como. Can't really put this into words, but we did not expect _THAT_ kind of view from this little apartment (much more expensive hotels don't have this, i'm pretty sure :) ) The rooms were clean, and very modern. The apartment was fully equipped with everything, and calm (as it was not on the main road, and only 1 other pair was staying in the whole building), so our sleep was very relaxing. And about Nesso.. it is a beautiful little town to walk around and enjoy the view and the neighbourhood. About the parking... yeah, that was exciting, don't try that with a weak clutch xD But it is free and private, so it is a big plus around the lake!! :)

The view is the best!!! The apartment is very comfy, clean and well-equipped. The pool was a brilliant added bonus. Nesso is a lovely town: it has all the charm and character of a Como settlement but much less tourists.

Big Thank you to the host Angela, who contacted me in advance with arrival and check-in information. The apartment is fairly new, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay (with a kid). A spacious terrace with stunning views. Quiet unless there is a rock band performing live at a bar on the other bank of the lake which we enjoyed too.

The terrace with the view was absolutely breathtaking. The garden area with the sunbeds was also lovely to chill with the nice weather. The apartment was so clean and Angela was lovely and helpful telling us about the nearest restaurants and shops available to us.

Situated in a typical small Italian village. Quirky, restful, and cleverly designed to make the most of the small size of the place …….. we loved it. It was very helpful to have the small but well stocked grocery store just across the road. Cinzia made a massive difference to our stay. She meet us at the bus stop and took us to the door ( such a big help since we didn’t have a car but had cases)she also helped us with booking local restaurants ( we could only find two and only one was within reasonable walking distance) Also she took us to their farm / garden by the lake. It did take us 30 minutes to walk back to the home ( but we are no spring chickens so probably took us longer than most) but it was worth it. The gardens were a little slice of paradise and very good for the soul. We will cherish our stay and hope to return soon.

    Nowhere to park really not easy and getting down to the famous bridge many steps- and back up - if you are fit and mobile ok. Need a car to get about. Parking in Como mostly not possible. Lecco better to park.

    The location is fantastic, where we stayed was right by the water, the views when you wake is outstanding, this location has loads of steps to navigate to get from the top of Nesso town to the water and back again. Visit the Ponte della Civera bridge, turn your back to the lake and take in the views of the waterfall which you can actually swim up to. Getting around is easy but to save money, take the 35 bus from Nesso to Bellagio, its cheap but can get crowded, try the water ferry by Navigazione Laghi this can take you from Nesso to Como or Bellagio for about 6 euro each, the ferry is a great system, get yourself a timetable and don't miss the last ferry!!!. Hungry? check out Briisa de Ness, the food great and quite traditional, you can stay there too. Have fun and enjoy your trip, we did.

    leave the car at the house, take the bus everywhere! also take the ferry to Bellagio and the bus to Como. you must have dinner at Osteria il Governo!! Our favorite meal! Take the bus from Nesso and it is a few stops up towards Belllagio. make a reservation.

    I loved the view of the lake from our room.

    I loved the view of the lake from our room. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the restaurant with delicious food. Getting up and down the lake wasn't too difficult except at the busy time when the bus was very crowded.

    I loved the quietness. Very peaceful and tranquil. The scenery of the mountain and lake is spectacular and soothing. The challenge though is how to get there or leave on days of carnivals or weekends. The bus services are reduced and sometimes suspended altogether; and the boat ferries are not hourly. After a long flight and an 1:30 mins (approx)from the airport (Malpensa) it can be quite an ordeal to get to Nesso. I also thought there's a need for a variety of eating spots for longer stays.

    Nesso is a very small town with a tiny supermarket, a local...

    Nesso is a very small town with a tiny supermarket, a local cafe/bar where the locals sit in the afternoon to have a drink, there are a church and a few areas where you can swim. There are also a ferry point where you can go to other points around Lake Como. Near by the ferry stop is a beautiful little bridge where tourist comes sailing to to take photos as there also are a waterfall.

    Nesso was a beautiful town and having our own little patch for a few days with that magnificent terrace was very special. Paola was super responsive to any questions and very willing to help. Loved how helpful and friendly the people working at the businesses in Nesso were too. Really enjoyed our stay and will so miss waking up to that amazing view from the bed!

    The apartment is amazing and well equipped. It is a perfect place for chilling, the environment has a good vibe. The host is very helpful and friendly, I would definitely come back again. If you travel to Nesso by bus, you need to climb up some stairs to get to the house but worth it!
