We were based in Polignano since it’s closer to Alberobello, Ostuni and Locorotondo, which we visited. For my mother, who uses a walker, 3-4 days were just right, but the rest of us could stay and explore Puglia towns for longer. Stunning cliffside town with a vibrant vacation scene. Dramatic beach set between the cliffs. Beautiful pedestrian-only streets filled with wonderful restaurants and shops. Many boat tour options to explore the caves and enjoy the spectacular coastline. Polignano a Mare was recommended to us during our travel in Italy and we changed our itinerary to get there. It was the best decision we made! This is a stunningly beautiful place to visit and great location to base yourself at. Polignano a Mare is a must see, and from here you can easily visit other areas. We stayed at the beautiful Santo Stefano Bed n Breakfast in the old town.
