Roccalumera is located next to the highway leading to Catania / Palermo, with an own motorway exit, that comes very useful if you would like to travel around the island. However, considering how difficult it is to get anywhere by public transport on Sicily, I suggest you take a car. Local beach was wonderful for me with clear water and waves. Ble flag. But not very convenient for my kids, since it's made up of large pebbles and there's no shallow end. Roccalumera itself is such a lovely town.
