The hotel is in a gated area. We felt secure and safe. Parking was included. Nice breakfast spread daily. The staff was exceptional. Our host was waiting on a group checking in and noticed me patiently waiting until he was done, but he stopped what he was doing to ask if he could help me! Large room and bath.

As seasoned travellers, we are always open to new experiences. Rome didn't disappoint. The weather was great in autumn & people, generally friendly. We avoided the buses & metros, sticking to the official taxis. We planned our skip-the-line tours in advance & walked or took taxis from the hotel to most of our destinations. Then, we walked our way back to our hotel or took a taxi if we were too far out. Wear comfortable shoes with good socks as the cobblestones can kill your feet & you'll walk a lot in Rome as it's the best way to discover little lanes & old local shops that showcase the culture & tradition of the area. If you have the time, plan these walks in addition to the big tourist sites where the crowds throng. Avoid restaurants with many foreign waiters in touristy areas as the expensive food will usually be disappointing. Be observant or ask locals for good places to eat & you'll be rewarded with great surprises & authentic Italian food.

Getting through Immigration takes sometime.

Getting through Immigration takes sometime. Maybe it was one off, but it took over an hour to get past. Taxis are easy to get. Stay away from unauthorized Cabs. There is also an app ITTAXI which is very useful, provided you have Internet. We did the High speed train from Rome to Pisa. Leave by the first train around 7AM, Reach Pisa Centrale around 10AM, 11EUROS is the taxi fare from the station to Pisa tower and other Monuments, 40 EUROS gets you a very decent Lunch with drinks for 2 persons, 3hrs gets you a lot of memorable photos and experience, take the 2PM train and be back in Rome around 5.30PM. We did the Hop on Hop off Bus - a minimum of 2 days is required. Book online, Doesn't matter which color, Take the first bus in the morning. Hop off doesn't mean you get off at the door step of the place you want to visit, places like the Colosseum has a good 20mins walk to the ticket counter or Entrance. Hop on is at the same place that you got off.

It was my last European country that I hadn't seen so I ticked it off. A lot of the big ticket sights were anticlimactic. I went in the off season and glad I did as the amount of tourists from lunch time onwards is insane. I went out super early and managed photos with zero people around. Expensive city, over priced food that isn't cooked well. Except the pastries and even then it is hit and miss. Check reviews of cafe's before you eat as there is heaps in popular areas that charge a lot and are crap. Try and eat away from the sightseeing locations. Food and price is better. Don't bother with taxi's, the about of tourists on the street slow them down its faster and better for you to walk. Rome is worth seeing but I found after four days I was sick of it and bored. I enjoyed other cities much more and noticed the different in service and attitude instantly.

It´s a wonderful city to get lost in, just wandering the streets. Be sure to go to all the little side streets, don´t get stuck in the most touristic places. Take small group tours, 1 a day is enough. Stay in one neighbourhood a day.

The location was perfect for me. It's my favorite part of Rome and the hotel is so convenient and easily accessible.. The staff were all friendly and really helpful. The breakfast was excellent and I loved being able to have a cappucino made for me (rather than out of a machine like many other "included" breakfasts I've had in italy). Having a kettle in the room was a nice surprise as well. This will be my 'go to" hotel in Rome from now on!

Very close to the Termini Central, hop on/off buses, restaurants. Staff were welcoming, air con was welcome in the summer heat, the room was bigger than we expected. The breakfast was excellent. An ideal hotel from which to explore Rome on the bus - a must in the heat, and also to get the train to other parts of Italy.
