The house is placed in a rural area, at about 45 minutes away of Firenze. It is very clean and has and old atmosphere that we really loved! Samuele, our host, helped us with places to see and was always ready to answer. They have been waiting us with a bottle of home-made olive oil that was really dealicious! The sunsets were magical and on the way to Pontassieve you can admire the hills of the vineyards in this area.

Magical place! Such beauty! We seemed to be in a museum. Antique furniture, paintings, unusual layout of the house. Breakfast is modest but very tasty. Friendly staff, helpful with everything. Very beautiful views of the vineyards and mountains. There are grocery stores not far away. We bought different Italian delicacies every evening, wine and enjoyed dinner outside on the sofa with a gorgeous view. We are delighted! Hope we come again!

Beautiful location, great room and room facilities for a family of four. We made use of the kitchen in our room for small cooked lunches as well as a home cooked Florentine Steak ! The pool and pool area were fantastic and we got to relax and de-stress. We walked into Rufina (10 min) as we were traveling by train around Italy. The walk would not suit younger kids. Our 15 and 17 year olds were fine. A car would have been great but we will do that on our return. This location and accommodation deserves more visits. Allesandra was a great host and her dog Willy guided us around the vineyard at the back of the property.

Spectacular location and atmosphere. Our bedroom window looked out over the iconic Tuscan countryside; like a stunning painting. The entire property is world class. Very beautifully maintained and laid out. Valentina who owns the property with her parents, runs the restaurant and does a spectacular job. Meeting and spending time with her, was an additional highlight for us. She is fantastic! Bubbly, kind, and truly committed to creating the best possible experience for her guests. During breakfast we sat near a young family who had just arrived to spend a two week holiday at Tenuta Risalpiano. This was their second or third stay at the property. When Valentina first arrived, it was a like a beautiful family reunion. Lots of hugs and kisses, and they had brought gifts for Valentina. I would imagine what they have created at this agriturismo, is what many owners would hope for, but are unable to create as completely as Valentina has so successfully done. Brava! We will be back.

I loved the location - 50 minutes from Florence by car or 40...

I loved the location - 50 minutes from Florence by car or 40 minutes by train, the people were friendly - beautiful shops, restaurants, pasticeria ( pastry shop), supermarket (Coop) - everything you need at your fingertips. Everything was within 90 minutes drive to Pisa and Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra, Cjhianti region and we even went to Assisi and Spello in Umbria ( 2 hours away but so worth it). For Florence we took the train we parked the car at the train station and the adult ticket is 4 euros one way.

Rufina was not our primary destination.

Rufina was not our primary destination. We were visiting Gricigliano about 20 minutes from Rufina and did not spend much time in Rufina. Rufina has a co-op supermarket, an ATM, and a petrol station so it is handy for those.

It is a beautiful and rustic house in Tuscany! At the top of a hill with absolute quiet and stunning views. The sunsets are amazing by the pool! The staff are absolutely charming and the food extraordinary! We can highly recommend all of the dishes, especially the meat. May it be the different types of pasta, the Tagliata di Manzo, Bistecca Fiorentina or the Filet de Re, once the food embraces your taste buds you feel like god kisses your senses! It takes ~35 mins by train to Florence (4€ one way). 8 min walk from the Hotel to the Train Station • Friendly host, responsive and kind • Clean Hotel • Free coffee • Kitchen (fridge, microwave, dishes)
