Awesome! Even 10* does not catch the hotel. Clean rooms, all is shiny and new. Very welcome staff. Breakfast better than in 5 times expensive competitors. Close to beach and city center. All good.

The location is very central, around 20mins walk from the center. The rooms at the side of the parking have a fantastic view and a very big balcony. The room is also quite spacious. Having a parking is also a big plus. The breakfast at the roof top is amazing, quite a good variety. The staff are very nice and polite. I highly recommend this property :)

- The staff are sooooooo nice and helpful. They took me to the train station and they offered to drive me and collect for dinner in the centre! - The hotel has very great interior. Beautiful dining area with lots of plants, nice pool, big space, big room. - The restaurant serves exceptional food. The restaurant should be a destination on its own. Amazing food. I stayed for 2 nights and both nights I ate in the restaurant.

It is a very picturesque town, and it is easy to visit the top spots. Take a slow walk down the cliff from the town to the beach. The sand is fine and the water is a clear blue. Go up to the monastery and take photos of the coast. Just spend some time walking down the narrow streets and alleyways. We went in the offseason and didn't get a chance to visit Stromboli, the volcanic island. That should be a highlight and something we will do next time.

We loved the choice of beaches and the crystal clear sea, we could see fish swimming within touching distance of us. When its really hot, there is plenty of shady beach areas if wanted. The old town was amazing to see from the beach underneath, the way its been built on the cliff. Good choice of restaurants and bars.

I loved the views and the variety of spots to relax from...

I loved the views and the variety of spots to relax from high up in town to down close to the sea. The wind and cooler temperatures stopped us from entering the water however, as the sea temperature is still quite temperate there were many swimmers early October.

The beaches were amazing.

The beaches were amazing. Places we ate that I recommend, That's Amore, great food and lots of ambiance, Diamante Rosso, Pinturicchio has great fish dishes and the best gelato was at Gelati Tonino.

Tropea is a beautiful town and a beautiful beach resort. There was a lovely atmosphere there. Nice restaurants and reasonable priced. While spectacular there are lots of steps between the beach and the town which may not suit some people.

Such and incredible place!

Such and incredible place! It ticks all the boxes: reachable by train/airplane, beautiful village, incredible beach. You can easily reach by boat the Eolian islands or via train Scilla and Reggio Calabria.

Franco’s House Tropea was the best hotel experience I have ever had. The staff went above and beyond and I have never felt such a warm welcome from hotel staff. The property was extremely clean and included many many amenities. If there was something I needed and didn’t have the in the room, Maria our hostess would arrange it immediately. We had clear communication with the hotel staff at all times and Maria made our stay so enjoyable. The rooms were large, clean, large bathrooms, and in the PERFECT location.

This is a family run B&B, and you can feel their dedication and hospitality when you come here. The location is perfect if you are coming by train. The rooms are clean with nice balcony to relax. The old town is 10 - 15 minutes away by foot. The breakfast was divine, the best we had so far in Italy. Everything is homemade and Antonio will make sure you don't lack anything and that everything is to your taste. We would always come back here if we visit Tropea again.

Its perfect ! A boutique hotel really. Claudia greeted us warmly and offered plenty of information to assist with our stay. The hotel building is in the middle of town making everything so easy to get to. The rooms are pristine and beautifully decorated. Best room l have stayed in during our time in Italy … especially for the price. The breakfast on the roof was so sweet and the staff so helpful. I just had a great stay so thank you.

That was one of the best stay in Italy during our journey. Upon arrival we found in our apartement the welcome fresh strawberries, carefully prepared by our host Mariano. He is very careful and friendly host, one of the best on my memory. We had a very clean apartment with stylish design. Each morning we enjoyed tasty breakfast on the sunny terrace with beautiful views. We decided to always stop here when traveling to Tropea.

We had the most amazing stay, the rooms were spotless as were all the other facilities. The pool area is gorgeous and even better than the photos. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and the meal we had at the hotel restaurant was one of the best we had in Tropea. We booked last minute due to the hotel we initially booked being very poor on arrival, and it saved our holiday! Would highly recommend
