Check-in with the housekeeper was swift and easy. We had use of the whole living and kitchen area plus our bedroom and bathroom. The outside terrace is fabulous with incredible views down towards Kingston. Breakfast is cooked on site by the housekeeper - we stayed three nights and had three different traditional Jamaican breakfasts. All superb.

Everything about this location was up to my expectations. Seeing that i was traveling alone and a female I was sceptical about where I would stay. But seeing the reviews of previous guest I decide to try this place and I must say I found me a place to stay whenever I'm traveling to Kingston. Amazingly good!!!

This place is a little gem right by the river, you can sleep at night with the sound of the river which is pretty magical. If you are looking for privacy the ensuite room is perfect and comfort. The hostel beds are also good and right in front of the river. I love the fact that you feel in the middle of nowhere but at the same time you are just 15min away from the city. The place is quiet, secure and comfortable.

This is a very special place and was perfect as our first stay in Jamaica. The owners Bobby and Ruth are pure gold. Nothing was too much trouble from arranging things to do, helping with onward travel plans and providing tasty evening meals. First rate accommodation

The side of Blue mountains you can explore from staying on...

The side of Blue mountains you can explore from staying on site or staying in Kingston and doing day trips to the mountains. Ideally hire a car, as driving is tricky but any reasonable driver can manage it. There are are lots of hiking places and nature trails. The Blue mountains are amazing and good for nature lovers. Catherines peak can be hiked from the Army base on the A road. However, the paid 'attractions' in general, are exploitative of the tourists. Suggest just enjoy nature and don't go for hyped up tours or attractions. A coffee tour of Crighton coffee plantation was a waste of dollars. We had dinner at Strawberry hill hotel. Stunning nature view and cool colonial building ambience, but the food itself was average.
