The views from the balcony are stunning! Mo and his family were very welcoming. The apartment is large, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen seems well equipped with a large table and chairs. The living room is traditional with cushions to sit on but no chairs. Breakfast was lovely and all home made by Mos mother. Lots of nice Jordanian tea and also coffee. I had a bit of a cough and Mo brought me a natural remedy that seemed to help. It's a bit noisy from the apartment below at night so bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise like I am. My earplugs worked great and I slept really well.

My favourite place I stayed in Jordan 💜 Ahmed's apartment is even better than the pictures – cute, cosy, comfortable, sparkling clean, and with everything you need: a well-equipped kitchen; washing machine and drying rack; great heating/aircon; a super comfortable bed; hot shower; solid wifi; free parking; and a charming host who will help with anything and go out of his way to make your stay memorable and perfect. The place is also huge – it has a master bedroom with king bed, a separate bedroom with 3 single beds, a spacious living room, a full kitchen, a laundry, and a bathroom, not to mention a gorgeous terrace and walled garden that make it all feel safe and luxurious. It's incredible value for money for what it offers! It's super close to everything to do in Umm Qais, including the ruins, the Baraka Destinations eco-tourism classes, and Yarmouk Forest Reserve. Ahmed offers homemade meals (7/10/15 JD for breakfast/lunch/dinner for 1 person), and can cater to special diets. He made me a delicious vegan feast (an impressive feat in Jordan!) on the night I arrived that was so generous it lasted me 3 days, and had the best lentil soup I had in the country! It's such a relaxing getaway from the hectic world of Amman and other nearby towns, and the surrounding mountains are beautiful. Sunsets are spectacular, especially from nearby viewpoints. Staying here was the highlight of my 3 days in Umm Qais and one of the best things I did in Jordan, and I super highly recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming place in Umm Quis hosted by Hassan, and it was an exceptional experience. Hassan, our host, went above and beyond by taking us on a captivating tour to explore the beautiful surroundings. His extensive knowledge about the area added depth to our journey, making it a truly enriching experience. Not only did Hassan ensure our stay was comfortable, but his hospitality and willingness to share insights about the local culture and history made our visit even more memorable. We felt safe and well-cared-for throughout our time at his place. Umm Quis, with Hassan as our guide, turned out to be a hidden gem, and I highly recommend this accommodation for anyone seeking not only a comfortable stay but also an opportunity to discover the unique charm of the surroundings with a knowledgeable and friendly host.

More comfortable than average hotel rooms. It's genuinely clean, cozy and spacious in comparison. Good value for money for what you can get in jordan. The host was helpful and kind. The village is charming. We hiked and enjoyed the views... it a good place to come to relax and do sightseeing.

Ibrahim was a fantastic host. He was welcoming, informative and kind. He cooked us a fantastic local breakfast, and gave us some great information about the archeological site and history of the area. His B&B is in a fantastic location - only a two minute drive or 10 minute walk to the archeological site. I would highly recommend staying with him in Um Qais!

The house is excellent, and was absolutely what we were hoping for. Abdula is an excellent host and on hand for anything you may need or to answer questions. His breakfast was simply amazing and brought to the door. The bed was comfy the living area and outdoors was ideal the garden was a relaxing and beautiful place to watch the sunset. I wish now we had booked another night as there is so much to do in the area. I would stay there again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We had the privilege the stay in this lovely guest house - perfectly located in a tranquil area, within walking distance from the Gadara sight. It is a well-equiped, nicely decorated, charming small house with a beautiful garden overlooking the village and the hills around. The breakfast was also delicious. But no experience in Umm Qais is complete without Ahmad's highly professional guidance - he is well-known to be the best guide in the area, and there is a reason for his reputation. In a very reasonable arrangement, we have not only managed to learn the formal history of the area but also gained insights from someone who actually used to live in the site and later also participated in the preservation efforts. Our stay and the short morning tour with Ahmad in the site was truly a highlight of our entire trip in Jordan.
