The rooms are spacious, good value with everything you need. The heating was more than adequate and the presentation of everything went above expectation. The facilities including onsen were all functioning and top notch. The staff were also very helpful with any inquiries and gave us a shuttle van to the ski lifts where necessary.

Masa and the staff at Hotel Madam Mirei were so lovely! They helped us feel very welcome and ensured we had all we needed. The room was sufficient and wonderfully warm after a day in the snow. The hot pot dinner they provide in the restaurant is exceptional and delicious too! The snow gear and boards were all in great condition and they supplied everything we needed to go snowboarding/skiing on the slopes at the hotel. Good value for money and would definitely come back here again next time we're in Madarao.

We had a fantastic stay! The ski area and rental shop are right nearby, and the onsen was beautiful. Delicious meals, kind staff, and easy access from the station made it even better. Our room was spacious and comfortable.

I had a fabulous time staying at the Silk Inn. The staff were friendly and helpful and the Onsen was fantastic. The room was clean, with an en-suite, albeit a small bathroom but functional. The breakfast was great and the seafood cooked by the chef for dinner was delicious. The bar located in the basement was cozy and a great spot for a night cap.. I will certainly be back for the winter season as the hotel is only a short walk to the slopes.

A home from home with beautiful Japanese style bedrooms. it was our first time sleeping in a futon style bed, I was cynical about how comfortable it would be but it really was the best nights sleep! the kitchen is very well equipped and the hosts are so lovely ! They are happy to run you to and from the station in their car which is about a 30 minute walk from the accommodation .
