Excellent stay! Great deal for that price. 10-15mins by walk from Yokoku station, so it was easy to travel to Beppu or other cities. Also close to the Hiji Castle ruins, where you can take a walk by the sea. The area was super quite but with great places to eat. The staff was very nice and spoke english. Excellent breakfast for 500yen/person. Totally reccomend!!

This boutique hotel was a gift. Yes it's gorgeous, perched on the side of the mountain with stunning views and luxury accom like having your own onsen but it was the staff who really made it outstanding....Maria, Tui and everyone else were incredibly responsive and helpful...not only when due to train changes, we were 2 hours late arriving (the kitchen staff held our dinner) but also when we left a phone with our JR passes in the taxi. (which we were able to recover!!!)

This was my first time staying in an APA Hotel and i have to say I was impressed, even after staying in another one the next day. The staff was exceptional, kind, helpful and accommodating. Especially the lady that handled our check out and helped us with our luggage forwarding to the next hotel went above and beyond. The location was amazing, 3-4 minutes away from the Beppu station while carrying heavy luggage. A short walk away the area was full of restaurants but the hotel's position was totally calm and quiet. The room and bathroom were adequately roomy but not big by any means. The smoking room inside the hotel was very convenient in the cold windy weather and with great ventilation.

My daughter and I very much enjoyed our one night stay. The hotel is in a great location, close to the Hells and to a very nice public onsen. There are a lot of restaurants within 10-15 min walk. We had our car but decided to park it at the hotel and walk everywhere. The staff at check in was very nice and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. I highly recommend this hotel.
