The accommodation was extremely clean and comfortable. The location felt very safe and it was close to the traditional side of Seoul. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. They offered baggage storage which is always a plus.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was very convenient and within easy reach of all the major sightseeing spots I wanted to visit. The hotel was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Having a small gym on-site was also a very convenient bonus. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

The staff at H28 is so helpful and kind. They helped me with my missing luggage and my esim-card. Everyone was so attentive and nice. My room was beautiful and very close to the reception (room No 615-deluxe double room). The rooftop is open 24 hours and is ideal for smokers. All the convenience stores (bubble tea/coffee shop, G25, Seven Eleven, Lemon Mart (supermarket), pharmacy, restaurants, tube station are within 2-5 min walking distance). There is also a nice cafe next to the hotel, Cream Chic, which I also highly recommend. I already booked my next trip in December and will stay again hat H28.

We were three girls traveling together and booked their only apartment on the top floor. There’s no lift, but we honestly didn’t mind at all. The apartment was spacious, spotless, and newly renovated, with everything we needed (washing machine, separate toilet/bathroom, and daily housekeeping which was a lovely surprise). What truly made this stay unforgettable were the owners, Mr. Lee and his family. From the moment we booked, they were incredibly attentive. Jason messaged us before arrival to help with directions and luggage, and throughout our stay both he and Mr. Lee were always ready with tips, guidance, and checked in on us, whether it was late night or early morning. Their kind gestures went far beyond what you’d expect from a hotel. They even hosted a small chicken gathering for us on our last night, which was one of the highlights of our trip. Their warmth, thoughtfulness, and constant presence made us feel not just welcome, but at home. The hotel also felt very safe as the entrance is only accessible with your room key, and Mr. Lee would stay awake until all the guests had returned at night, which gave us so much peace of mind. The location is also excellent. Just a minute’s walk from Jongno 5-ga station, with buses right outside that take you across the city (Myeongdong was just one bus away). Dongdaemun is also a short, scenic walk along the stream. We felt completely safe returning late at night, and there are plenty of restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and pharmacies nearby. Gwangjang Market is only a 5-minute walk. The building itself is well-maintained and thoughtfully designed, with cooling air conditioners on every floor, a clean and spacious rooftop terrace, and a welcoming lobby where tea, coffee, and biscuits are always available. But above all, it’s the people who made this place so special. Mr. and Mrs. Lee, along with Jason and Henry, go above and beyond in a way that’s rare to find.

We experienced the first snow in Seoul on the 4 December 2025! It was magical, and we were so fortunate to have been there. My daughter also came close to her K pop idols that night as they were doing a promo up at N Seoul Tower. We made sure we tried every different type of Korean food - our favourite had to be K BBQ and the dakgalbi in Hongdae. A must-everyday for us was salt bread (and yes, we also went to Seong-su dong for salt bread at Jayeondo Sogeumppang), and let me tell you that Korean coffee did not disappoint either. It was easy to get around via the subways, but we seem to think that maybe Naver maps was good for our Gen Z offsprings but now us Gen X's who are so used to google maps. It was our second trip to Seoul and we loved it a lot, making Seoul one of our favourite cities to come back to!

Safe, Convenient Stay Near Seongsu With Excellent Transport Access-- Great location close to Seongsu with easy access to Jongno and major tourist spots. The neighborhood felt safe, and having two convenience stores nearby was very helpful. The room was clean and well-equipped, especially with the washer and dryer. The host also shared a food map, which made finding good restaurants easy. Comfortable stay for three people — would definitely stay again.

I can be a bit biased since I am a Korean American, so take my words with a grain of salt. Seoul is a great place to access the old, new, and the ultra new (upcoming) with things moving at a frantic pace. In a culture that obsesses over efficiency, I feel right at home. Food options are abundant and there are so many things to do: shopping, dining, getting haircuts, and visiting old palaces and museums. I need at least couple of months to get my fill of Seoul.

There are a lot of shops and malls, when we went to the palace we were turned away at the gate as they had changed to the winter timetable without updating their website, which was very disappointing as it was our last day there. If I would do the trip again, I'd definitely explore the villages outside of Seoul, and try to see more of their culture rather than wasting time in malls.

Vibrant city with lots of culture.

Vibrant city with lots of culture. There seems to be a lot of greenery close by and the colours of the trees are spectacular. Walking down from the Seoul Tower at sunset was beautiful as was the Olympic Park walk around the lake. The fact that people wear traditional costumes to the palaces makes those visits special. The night market in the centre should not be missed. One feels safe in Seoul with respect an important feature. The public transportation system is excellent once you get the hang of the local App. Any language barriers can be resolved using modern translation tools

Out of the few capital cities I've visited, I found Seoul to likely be one of the most overrated (a slight bit above Paris maybe). The food is great, the subway network is fast, fairly priced and very convenient, but other than that there is very little that made me think that was worth coming. And while most of the people are about as nice as anywhere else, there are quite a number of pretty rude people or a number of situations where a sort of "me first" mentality shows up (queue skipping, rushing to seats in the subway...) and can be quite annoying depending on where you come from.

I will definitely consider this place again when I travel back to South Korea again. It’s affordable, the place is clean, has comfortable beds and pillows. The pillows were the most comfortable I’ve had, compared to other hotels I’ve stayed. Extremely friendly staff. They also helped me receive a package and paid the shipping fee for me in advance. I paid the shipping fee back to them when I pick up the package from them. Really love the place

1st time staying here with friends. We we're lost when we arrived in South Korea but the owner didn't stop helping us to give direction and guidance going to the place. Good thing they have a 24-hr check in! So yeah arrived late and luckily the room was comfortable for us 🥰 Surely recommend here and it's affordable! Also it is 15 mins walk to Hongdae. And going to airport from sinchon subway station takes almost 1 hr travel time.

Localisation is perfect, very close to historical sites and with many great places to eat. However, the greatest advantage of the hotel is the host, David. He is fluent in English and extremely helpful as well as informative. He provided me plenty of advice about local restaurants, transport, and a trip to the DMZ. We also had a nice chat, which enriched my knowledge about South Korea.

Good breakfast, cozy room, close to the exhibition center. Turn right out of the hotel to eat is more expensive, turn left and walk 100 meters to eat is cheaper. Turn left out of the hotel and walk about 150 meters, there is a local Korean supermarket. Take the airport bus 6703, get off at the POSCO building station and walk to the hotel.

I've stayed in 10+ hotels/homestays in South Korea and this one is real good. I particularly enjoyed the communication with staff, I felt they are genuine people that do their best to make guests comfortable. The place itself is lovely, just 5 minutes away from Hongdae station and has lots of yummy places all around.
