Someone on here described this place as a piece of heaven and that pretty much sums it up (and I'm not a religious man). I ended up extending my reservation for an extra night as I couldn't miss the chance to stay another day. I requested the room furthest down the hill and, yes, there are stairs to get down there (not that many really), but how else would one expect to get down a hill? 🧐 This also meant the cabin felt secluded and the view had an uninterrupted jungle-y vibe. Both mornings I sat on my balcony as a baby monkey scrambled and launched wildly towards birds high in the treetops - its family just lounged unbothered as the sun peered over the smokey mountains - no helicopter parenting in the monkey world! The pool is stunning (rooms up here would have a similarly stunning view). I swam each morning and again in the afternoon upon my return after a day of exploring Kandy. Don't let the distance to central Kandy throw you off - Tuk Tuks are super fun and there's so much on the journey to stimulate the senses (dodging bigass cattle and the like) and you won't be needing to back-and-forth to town regardless. Staff were super kind and accomodating and the curry for dinner and egg hoppers for brekkie were the real deal. How's the rest of my trip going to match this? Would stay again no question.

A beautiful and peaceful hotel in the mountains in the middle of nature. Appropriately small. The road to get there was challenging, but our driver handled it just fine. The trip was worth it, because a wonderful place with a wonderful view awaited us there. Very clean hotel, swimming pool and the whole environment. Delicious breakfast and dinner. Friendly staff. The hotel also offered overnight accommodation for the driver. Perfect location near Kandy city away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is also easy to get around the city by tuk-tuk from this place. The best hotel for a three-week vacation in terms of price-quality ratio! We would like to come back here again! Thank you to the entire staff and the owner himself for a wonderful stay!

This was probably my favorite place in all of Sri Lanka (and we we're in Sri Lanka for over 3 weeks). The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the views were stunning & priceless. They had a gorgeous Infinity pool that overlooked the mountains. The staff were amazingly kind and helpful. There were only a couple of drawbacks. First it is very difficult to get from this property to Kandy. Cars and tuk tuks are very expensive and it is at least a 45 minute ride. Second, the infinity pool does not have any coverings and sits directly in the hot sun. They do have some small umbrellas you can use, but for most people it is simply too hot to enjoy the beautiful pool and views during the day. It's surprising as I don't think it would take too much to create a partial covering for the area. I must reiterate, however, that the property overall and the views are absolutely amazing. The food was also well prepared and well priced. If you stay here, I would highly recommend planning at least one day on the resort. You will be blown away by how beautiful and luxurious it is for the price!

Accommodation Lotus villa - Kandy We are a family of 4 so they put us in adjoining rooms with our own bathroom which was perfect. The rooms were the perfect size - 1 double and twin room especially as we spent most of our time outside taking in the fantastic views. The pool was a great size and spotlessly clean. We ate quite a lot at the villa and Siran made excellent traditional food. Not only was it delicious but it also allowed us to try a variety of different local dishes. He also makes a great cup of tea 😊 Siran was an amazing host and could not do enough to help. One of the most helpful and attentive people we have met. He also organised trips for us at a really good price. We would 100% recommend staying here and hopefully we will be back one day. Thankyou for a wonderful time Siran, from The Smith family (including your Little angel, Amelie 😊)

Very nice ambiance. Old kolonial style but very neat and well maintained. Only 5 rooms, so very cosy. Large rooms with nice beds. Great view on the surrounding hills. Very kind personel. Fast responding to my changing plans and questions. Good price for a nice rice and curry dinner.

what an amazing property. we were thoroughly looked after and nothing was too much trouble. the food was exceptional. we wanted traditional Sri Lankan curries and that’s what was prepared for us with spices and fresh herbs and vegetables from the garden. the rooms were huge. the gardens and views were stunningly beautiful and so quiet except for the sounds of the birds and monkeys. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻💕
