The lodge is located in a gorgeous, magical place in Sri Lanka….quiet, peaceful and well off the beaten tourist track. The view from my cabin was absolutely stunning. The property is a small working tea plantation and there are nice walks on farm tracks around the countryside. The food and coffee prepared for me was wonderful. The owner/host Sumith is very special. He arranged transport for me from Colombo and took me on a lovely waterfall tour. He is very kind and knowledgeable about the area and his country. The accommodation is simple but very clean, comfortable and attractive. Everything you need for a healthy, relaxing stay is there. Wi-Fi worked great.

I mean, where do I even start. The property itself is stunningly beautiful, accommodation plush and food excellent but the people and service are what really set this resort apart from others. The staff particularly Asanka and Thusith. These guys did more for me than any other resort experience I have ever had. Traveling alone by motorcycle I had no cell service, Asanka went so far as to go to town on his own to find me a portable WiFi router not to mention he loaned me his for the day while he was looking for one for me. Thusith took care of me like family with food, drinks, property tour, and insuring my laundry was collected and ready for me. The massage was fantastic from a true professional, he took special attention to the areas motorcycle riding strains. I really cannot thank and say enough good things about my experience. Then, to top it off Alsanka noticed my motorcycle was dripping oil and had one of the crew come take a look. If it wasn’t for this I surely would have blown the engine. He didn’t stop at that he and Thusith rode a scooter to town while I followed and took me to a store with oil, filled it for me and wished me safe travels.

The best hotel I stayed in Sri Lanka. The rooms were cleaned and properly maintained.The food was fantastic. Every dish was prepared with so much care and perfection. The entire hotel is well built and very neatly maintained. The view was fantastic. The staffs are very friendly and given us excellent guidance to visit nearby places in Belgium.It is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at Citrine. The hotel is situated at a picturesque site on the foothills of Pahanthuda water fall in Belihul Oya. Among other things, the Citrine staff was super hospitable, and Bandara was a super host, who attended virtually to all our requests with no hesitation at all. The Sri Lankan food we ordered was not only tasty, but also were very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Citrine for its hospitality.
