I don't know where to start. The place is just magical. It's completely in nature and has an amazing view over the lake. The surroundings are peaceful far away from any noise. The rooms are the biggest I've stayed in here in Sri Lanka and very luxurious. Also the balcony is huge and you can sit down and just enjoy the view on bird island and the lake as well as from your bed when you're waking up. The swimming pool was nice and refreshing and I had it all by myself. Besides the great place the hospitality was on a next level. My mornings have started with a refreshing homemade juice/smoothie that was brought to my room and free of charge. What a great start to the day. Furthermore, the owner arranged a private boat tour on the lake to visit the small islands such as Cinnamon island and I even could see a small crocodile on the tour. The tour took over 3 hours and it was no mass tour. Also, he recommended a great tour guide for Yala National Park and Ella. The dinner I had at the hotel was amazing. You can taste that he was previously working in a 5 star restaurant as a chef. Thanks again for everything and I definitely will come back the next time I'm visiting Sri Lanka.

This three days have been perfect! The whole team is so friendly, kind, helpful and they like to have a chat with you, if you want to. the kitchen did a fantastic job! the breakfast and also the dinner was amazing! one morning, in front of our hotel, there were fishermans fishing. We bought a fish from them and the chef cooked it on the evening for us. Great experience! the hotel, room, pool and beach is very nice. great to spend time there.

My stay at Jeewanas was absolutely perfect and a more sri lankan experience than I had imagined. You really get to live in the real sri lanka at a beautifully calm location. Well with many sounds from nature though, but only those. The Kayaking on the lake is a must do too. Jeewana even made it possible to have some endemic fruits which I didn't get to find anywhere, not even at the best hotels and restaurants. If you choose this place, tell him what you wanna experience and enjoy. PS Sri Lanka is perfectly safe to visit, at least as safe as home (CH). Take a stroll through the neighborhood, you will be surprised. Experience the island for yourself and decide.

We just love the place. Great experience in this villa. We liked everything there, very quiet location near a beautiful beach. We were looking for such a place. The villa is very spacious, nicely furnished and we immediately felt like at home, plus a beautiful garden and an amazing pool. Asanga will prepare a royal breakfast for you every day, whatever you want. During our stay in Sri Lanka, we returned there twice. Last but not least, great communication with the owner of the villa, who really cares about making your stay as pleasant as possible. We will definitely plan to spend more time in this villa next time. I can really only recommend it.

Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach, almost just the 2 of us. Visiting Mahdu Lake at 6 a.m. watching the sun goes up. A natural paradise with a lot of birds and other animals. Listening to their different noises. Dining at the Mangrove Cave Restaurant we enjoyed freshest seafood. It was just very tasty.

This hotel is heavenly. It is right on the most perfect beach and surrounded by trees and the occasional wild life. The rooms are large, luxurious and have large private gardens. The staff are well trained with the aim of providing a perfect holiday experience. This was the last of six hotels that we stayed at across Sri Lanka and was by far the best. The chef produced exceptional dishes and reasonably priced. We felt very cared for at Sundara. Thank you.

Kalapuwa resort is that place what offers you a quiet and relaxing way to enjoy your holiday. The owner Givana is very helpful and friendly, plus great person to talk to about everything. They offer delicious food and if you want you don’t need to leave even from the hotel to enjoy calmness and your holiday. The owner has a horse (pony) named Flika who gives the spirit to Kalapuwa resort.

Cool hotel! Private beach with sunbeds. Very friendly staff and delicious food. I also recommend their new hotel "Villa Pantano" (same owner) completely new equipment, renovation and private closed area. Liked very much.
